When a storefront charges $10 a sandwich you donât expect to be forgotten on hold when you call in an order. Itâs understandable. I get that it happens. But then I get to the actual sub shop and hear the manager say, âpay more attention to the phone, thatâs the second time todayâ....
After waiting on hold AND THEN driving over, I got at the shop at 11 in the afternoon. This place opens at 10:30. How do you forget two phone calls on hold in under 30 minutes with four employees behind the counter and MAYBE four customer sitting at the tables.
Iâm not upset at the employees, even though forgetting to pick the phone back up after all of two other sandwiches were ordered(I know this because I could hear everything going on) is strictly the employees fault. Iâm more upset at the companies that thrive on overcharging customers while underpaying employees because thatâs how firehouse ends up with bottom of the barrel service. Normally their service is fine and itâs their sandwich making that lacks. But I guess keeping meat in a sandwich is just as hard as remembering that you are in fact...
Read morePlaced a SIMPLE online order at 4:14 pm. Was told online it would be ready at 4:30pm. 3 sandwiches, no sides or drinks Arrived at 4:20pm and was told it would be 5 or 10 mins. Sat at a table patiently. At 4:25 a group of 4 and a group of 2 ordered at the counter. They were served food around 4:45pm. Nothing for me. Was my order not a priority? At 4:50pm I asked about my order and was told it was coming up next. Waiting 40+ minutes for 3 sandwiches and being skipped in line is completely unacceptable. I asked for my money back. Some guy in red with a birthmark on his neck told me "sorry we got busy". Makes no sense. I wasn't offered anything to make it right. A cook then told me new guys were messing things up. I got my money back and left. Now I'm going home hungry with a child. I will never dine at a firehouse subs again and will suggest the same to my family...
Read moreI love firehouse subs universally but this location takes forever to make your food, or even acknowledge the customer. Came in, waited in line and as soon as it was my turn the girl just left and went to socialize with another customer. For several minutes. As if no one was waiting, there were people behind me too yet this young lady thought it was more important to talk t9 her friend. I was there for over 30 minutes for a small sub combo. There were 2 other women, one a redhead, working who were excellent, saw i had been waiting and at least greeted me even though she was super busy. I understand being busy buy flat ignoring customers is bad. As I was waiting I noticed lots of online orders being called out, with no one there to get them. Seems like order priority should go to the customers INSIDE...
