I use to go here ALL THE TIME to buy clothes for my now 5 year old. I probably hadnât been to this store for 3+ years and made the 2.5 hour drive to Morgantown WV from southern WV yesterday to run some errands and to sell some stuff that was too small for my son. I also wanted to look for some clothes for my new 4 month old baby.
The entire experience was disappointing. The employees were absolutely rude. First off, they changed their buying rules and will not accept clothes in bags. I didnât see the handwritten note (wrote in blue highlighter on printer paper) taped to the door and I obviously didnât have any totes with me so I went and bought 3 from Walmart. This all just seemed silly to me as the clothes were all nicely folded in the bag but I transferred them to the totes still nicely folded. I had about 25 pairs of shoes and a ton of jeans and pants and shirts. I lugged the totes into the store and immediately could sense the annoyance of the workers. The one lady was basically saying a bunch of negative stuff about her day and how she wasnât surprised that nothing was going right. She didnât even acknowledge my presence until I signed in on the kiosk. Then she told me I really shouldnât have waited til before they closed to bring in a buy. It was 4:30 and they donât close til 6 AND if I hadnât have had to go buy totes I would have been there 30-45 minutes earlier. She basically said she would look through and âdo what I (she) can.â They complained the entire time and told me it takes them an hour to do one tote and there was no way they could get through 3 totes. 35-40 minutes later I was told they were done. They accepted 40+ items and offered me a measly $55. I took it because I could only imagine the fit they would throw if I had said no and realistically whatever they didnât accept I was just going to donate. I walked around and tried to find clothes for my 4 month old and found literally one romper and one sleeper that were of decent quality. Everything was mismatched and not worth their asking prices.
Overall I can confidently say we will no longer do business there again.
The disgusting attitude of the workers was enough to keep us away not to mention the poor quality clothes and cheapskate offer for buying.
Itâs sad really because I use to love the store and bought most of my sons clothes from newborn to 2 years there. I honestly donât see how they stay in business with the attitudes of their employees now....
Read moreToday was only the second time I had been to this store. My daughter is 5 months old and I live about an hour from here I made the trip specifically to sell stuff here. The first time I sold her the two ladies working were AMAZING. They helped me carry in my totes since I was by myself with my daughter and they even loaded them back into my car after I was finished. Today I had the TOTAL opposite experience. An older lady working there (Iâm assuming a manager) was rude to me from the MOMENT I walked in the door. I only had 1 tote in my car. I walked in and asked if someone could carry it in for me âNO we canât not do thatâ She said it EXTREMELY rude. I said well someone helped me last time I was here but oh well so here I am with my 5 month old strapped to my chest trying to carry this tote in and she comes up to me and rudely screams at me that they have a 3 hour wait time. Whatever I was already here so I left my items. Not even an hour later I get a text that my items were ready for pick up. I also brought in a basically BRAND NEW baby bouncer, they took it and very very few of the clothes I brought and offered me $20. What a rip off. Everything I brought in was in great condition some even new. I doubt they even look through it all to be honest. Same lady comes up to me and she doesnât even say hello greets me or anything doesnât even ask my NAME. She just says well give you 20$ for what we took do you want it as cash or store credit? I said cash because I will NEVER be back here. ALSO would like to add all the other employees are sitting on the floor stuff spread out EVERYWHERE but they want you to be soooo specific when bringing in items to them or they wonât even bother to look. Donât...

I decided to give the store another shot. Same rude unwelcome, like I was an inconvenience.
I dropped my items off and checked in. The kiosk said 20-30 minutes. 50 minutes later, I was called and told I was BANNED from the store!!!!! I am FLOORED. I was never contacted previously. Rather than deal with problems, they just ban you. đą
Old comments: The manger is extremely rude and stuck up. As a previous manager at Gymboree and Crazy 8, I know how the job should be handled.
I sold before when I lived in Florida, and I loved it.
I live about 45 minutes away from this location. I first went in in December to sell. There were about 4 girls all sitting behind the counter. I was not greeted. I walked to the counter and still wasn't acknowledged. I said, "Excuse me." The manager replied by saying, "You need an appointment to sell." I said, "Oh, I didn't know that." She said, "Since October..."
Then today I had an appointment for 9:30. I got there and found the store closed. She told me she sent an email at 6:45 a.m. to change my appointment. I'm not in the habit of checking my email that early. Not sure why I had to leave a phone number.
I went in today when they opened. I wasn't greeted once again. I got to the counter and without even looking at me she said, "Next time put it in a plastic tote or we won't accept it." It was all unopened toys.
She then said, "Okay. Put the stuff down already and sign in." I asked, "Where?" She said, "Right in front of you."
Lady, chill out and just be nice to people for...
