The best way to describe this store is hometown hardware, a little Tractor Supply, retail Co-op wanna-be all in one. They have a little bit of what each of these places offer and their prices are better. This is definitely the place to go when needing anything related to putting in a lawn, decent hardware, and even basic auto supplies. They have the beat prices of anywhere Ć round for auto motor oil and car batteries! On average, I save $10 on a large jug of motor oil by buying it here vs WMart and the auto part stores. I do have a couple of complaints though...1) they do sell oil filters but the selection is very limited and based only on a few most popular cars on the road. They have never had the size needed for my car which is annoying considering this is where I prefer to purchase the oil , 2) sometimes when I go in this store, many shelves are empty from having a busy day. You eoud think by now they would plan for days that are prone to increased business by scheduling more employees to work on those days of at least stock heavy on the day before. I hate having to make sure I go early in the day just as a precaution of making sure they have what I need if it happens to be a Saturday. I would much rather wait until evening when there's less of a crowd but then I run the chance of not being able to get what I need. And 3) Apparently these stores have a high level of retail theft. While their security personnel do a better job of blending in than WMart, it's still annoying when you have someone following you becsuse you just so happen to fit the one of the profiles they seem to believe are the most likely to commit a crime of theft. Just because my husband and I go our own ways when we enter the store, it does not mean we are up to something nefarious! Honestly, I love my hubby but I HATE shopping with him. This store and any other store that uses the situation of people splitting up on entry as an indicator of possible theft need to revisit their profiles or invest in a better method of surveillance. Under no circumstances should a customer know they are being followed.. it's not a pleasant shopping experience....and shopping is what I am...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI walked in to browse and make a purchase for my dogs and obviously there were totes on sale so I bought 3. Well as Iām walking out of the door Iām stopped by some lady and two police officers saying they have a BOLO out on me over me āstealingā from them for the past 3 days⦠I have NOT walked into a rural king since at-least before December or beginning of. NOR have I ever in my life stolen anything.the lady banned me from the store took my id copied it and made me sign some sheet of paper in front of EVERYONE. Itās a defamation of character and if I donāt get an answer or proof as to why or how I got mixed up in this I will get a lawyer involved. They refused to show me proof. And then continued to talk down on me in front of every employee and customer on the front end. The bad thing is, I love rural king and now Iām not allowed back all because this lady āguessedā/ ACCUSED me of committing theft with no proof. It was absurd and Iāve never been more embarrassed in my life to say the least. My name is Austin Hall⦠I need someone to reach out to me and show me this āproofā they have because like I said. I have not steeped foot in one of your stores since WAY before Christmas⦠nor have I stolen anything in my life⦠I will keep this up until someone reaches out to me⦠this was not okay and does not set okay with me because I am not a criminal! So if someone can please reach out to me that would be great. My cashiers name is Nani but she was not the one who stopped me. This lady was thin. With her hair back. White stripe shirt I believe and has a serious attitude problem and needs to learn how to talk to someone. Also⦠I knew the whole time I felt like all the employees were around me the whole time asking me if I needed help. Itās like they weāre told to as soon as I walked into the store⦠listen if your gonna make accusations you should definitely have proof because I am not your guy that was ācommitting theftā anywho. If someone can reach out that would be great. If not I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love this store, from the prices to the wide array of products, well the wide array of products they are suppose to have in stock. If it was once I understand, but seems to be an occurring theme, 1 example being sporting goods area. The glass cases were stocked with various products which were guns or higher end versions of other products from the shelves, problem is the shelves were empty, example....was looking for binoculars, in the case were 3 types all over a $100 and stocked full, go to the shelf to find more of my price point and they had exactly what I was looking for, well the tags for what I was looking for, had tags rom $14.99 to $99.99, great variety, except they had 2 pair for $69.99 and that's it. To me it appears to be a dept issue because if it's in the case they order the product, but if the mgr or whoever has to leave the stool he/she is sitting on, it's not gonna happen, nor be offered help to find anything. There were empty displays, shipping displays at that sitting on the sales floor, that's just trash sitting there at that point. Update: Not a single dept issue, several depts have issues, the tool dept is worse, so let down, been this way for months now. Then if you do find something to actually buy you have the joy of standing in line at the 1 register they have open and the line backed up. Out of the last 4 visits this has been the case everytime, with and average of 10 mins to check out, only once opening a sec register, all while several workers stood behind the customer service desk. I love the store but it's getting harder and harder to visit each time. Seems if the manager did a weekly store walkthrough this issues wouldn't be to the level it is now, not sure what has...
