I went here with two friends for dinner a few days back and let me just start off by saying that it has been quite a while since I've ate at golden corral. Past experiences were pleasant. I was sort of happy about having the variety, as I wasn't sure on what I wanted & was happy to find something here and there to put on my plate. However, I was quite disappointed on this trip, because half of the foods I had gotten, was not fresh and wasn't all that great to be honest. The fried okra I had was a mixture of half undercooked and half burnt okra. So, I was like ok no problem, maybe it was just the okra. Then I went for my yeast roll and ham. The ham was quite good and the primary (only) thing I ate, but then I discovered my yeast rolls was all tough and chewy. This was a total let down, as I love some yeast rolls and golden corrals are usually fresh, warm and easy to tear apart! So, after picking here and there and most of the food being heat lamp warm and not so fresh, I felt it safer and just went onto desserts and got some cheesecake, because there wasn't hardly anything else put out aside empty trays, give or take a few ice cream items. I wasn't sure why it was empty, as they usually have several kinds of cakes and desserts available. I was disappointed in this area. It just wasn't what I was hoping for on this trip. The cheesecake wasn't the best and it was mostly mush (last piece).
Don't get me started on our waitress, she was mostly nonexistent and literally, none of our plates were taken until we were ready to depart. I get it in a sense, because waitresses have it hard in places like that, but none of the other workers even cared to offer us any assistance. It was a bad trip.
I would like to note, we did go close to the change from lunch into dinner, but really expected more for what we had to pay for our meals. Considering what we paid and the food being fair at best, on-top of the waitress problems, it was sort of a bummer. I'm not sure if this is an every day thing or if it was just an odd day, but I had hoped for better.
It was a good day with friends nonetheless.
Pros: The ham was good ๐
Cons: Everything else? - it was a bad...

Took my mother out there for her birthday yesterday, and we greatly regret it. The hush puppies were completely doughy inside, the fried fish was mushy and cold (Obviously from being frozen from last nights buffet and reheated to this buffet to save money). They had a whole chicken on the buffet and the only thing left of that thing where the bones and the outer burnt skin that nobody wanted (Looked like a hawk just got through eating it.
Also, my mother said that all of the lettuce & toppings were mushy as well, and also the lettuce was all frozen to the bottom of the metal container. The only eatable thing on the entire buffet was the fried chicken (Which was over coked) & mom's dinner roll, although my roll was hard as a rock.
Desserts - Looked horrible - the honey buns where hard as hell on the bottoms of them, and the blueberry pie was so old from being frozen and unfrozen that it tuned into this horrid jelly like substance.
Very dirty - The cleanest plates all had this nasty film on them - and that's after lifting up plate after plate and seeing that it had clumps of crud on them and putting them up to the side so they hopefully would try and rewash them, also the cutlery (Forks, Spoons & Knives) all had the same filth on them. Even trying to wipe them off with a napkin could not clean them.
Even got the trots - called mom to see if she had them & surprise - she did! We will never eat at this damn place again. Even the family in the booth behind us was complaining harshly about there food.
Message to the owner - You will become bankrupt at this location if you do not make drastic actions including finding new management that will hold the entire cooking staff to food standards that every other Golden Corral has in the nation. In fact I would fire the entire kitchen staff and start over - What do you have to loose (Oh Yea, your entire business & lively hood). Repeat customers is the life blood of any business - you lost us & the large family that was sitting behind us + who knows how many others that day, at this rate you be closed in...

The lady that told us we could not eat their tried to wait on us and I told her I wanted someone else, she was just mean and rude not because we could not eat in a room where is was not actually reserved. The other waiter was great. Only the one that tried to wait us on the first time she was giving mean looks the hole time while we were their. On top of it my husband witnessed her putting her whole finger while she was fixing that customer drink while went to go get something from the bar. After we ate we talked to the manger and she was polite and I told her all went on and the server girl we had problems with got in the conversation and my husband told her in front of her face what she did and she lied in front of her boss which it was the manger we was talking to. She said right back at us we was not a party, she was implying about that room we wanted to eat in and she walked away rudely and her boss said she is going to talk to you in a minute. That girls name was Courtney she is young and have black hair if you make a mistake getting her PLEASE TO GET HER ,SHE IS SOOOOO RUDE AND NASTY !!!!!!! I also told the manger put a sign on that door reserved for parties and she agree saying she would. Also they were flies everywhere landing on the food and on us , we should have got a refund. PLEASE IF YOU CHOOSE TO GO TO A GOLDEN CORRAL DO NOT GO TO THE ONE IN MORRISTOWN, TN on ANDREW JOHNSON!!!!!!!!! ME AND MY HUSBAND AGREED TO NEVER EAT AT ANY GOLDEN CORRAL...
