Okay donāt get me wrong, I love this place and itās not expensive. However, every time I go there are the bosses kids they at least claim to be and they run around with shoes, socks, or simply barefooted. I had a night I was skating and they looked at me and tried to cut me off so I would fall. They tried to multiple times. I saw them also almost cut off this girl that looked like she was around 6-7 years old still learning how to skate and they almost made her fall and she had to quickly pull her hands back and lean back a little. They ignored someone when they were sitting on the ground. She said something like excuse me can I get through, or something like that, and then they looked up at her then looked back down and their phones. She had to start to try to walk around them and then one of the littler kids looked like they were trying to trip here by going back and forth with skates on while she was trying to get through. They also almost ran into her while she was trying to get off the skating rink because they were not looking where they were going. There was another time where somebody threw pizza on the floor wrestling with somebody (they both looked about 10-12 years old or so) and hit the back of my skates with the pizza. The employees are nice, but they donāt care when those kids do stuff like that. Also, if you try to tell them they will probably not care since those are the bosses kids. Races are not fun anymore because the same kids always go participate (the same kids that are the bosses kids) and they always win in just a few seconds so itās never fun for anybody else because you can barley start before itās almost over. I love going here but I know that if they keep doing all this then Iād prefer going a hour away to a different skating rink so I wouldnāt have to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe are going to try this again tonight. I used to skate as a kid and Iām now teaching my 10-year-old daughter. This is the only rink in the area. A few months ago is the first time we attended. First of all, I was shocked at the prices. Way too high for the size rink it is, lack of lockers or safe spots for belongings and it lacks a true concession area. For instance, no ice or fountain drinks. I never observed a floor attendant keeping an eye out for potential problems or keeping kids behavior in check. The sound system was not very clear or at a high enough level to rise above all the other noise. The music left a lot to be desired as well. I really wanted to give the Dj a list of classic skate songs, or suggestions of anything with a good beat for skating. Lastly, I saw people going outside in their skates then right back in, onto the floor. Iām sure you already have a mental image of the skating surface. I hadnāt been skating in probably 30 years and was so excited to get back into it. Needless to say I was disappointed. I can set aside the lack of concession. I could have even overlooked the bad sound system if theyād played better music. That and the chaotic atmosphere just left me feeling like it wasnāt worth going back. However, weāre gonna give it one more try tonight. Iām really holding out hope for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDonāt get me wrong we love twi-light rink itself! However those who attend on weekends are awful. Teenagers running around screaming and cussing , one even ran over a woman carrying an infant. Another Tripping the younger kids who are just learning to skate. Teenagers who were doing sexual activity in the hallway to the party room and in front of the drink machines. The only employees besides at the entry window were teenagers. With how the teenagers were climbing on tables and jumping across furniture it looked like an unattended daycare. The older girls constantly trying to start fights with the younger girls. It was absolutely awful. The boys constantly smacking the girls butts or having their hands in the girls tops or even pants. Other girls having their friends check their backs or legs for marks after boys have smacked/hit them.
For a better experience more adults need to be involved in controlling the allowed behavior inside whether it be parents or employees. So many people have complained about how many fights occur on the weekends. After personally attending on a Saturday I see why there are so many fights.
If you have young children I donāt recommend going on the weekend due to the...
