I’ve been lucky enough to fish with guides in Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Utah, BC and California. Tyler and the White Pine team are the best I’ve fished with; period. We've done two overnight floats on the St. Joe plus a four‑day/three‑night run down the Wallowa and Grande Ronde with WPO. Each trip has been outstanding. Planning is friction‑free. Chelbee’s email threads cover flights, shuttles, lodging and food preferences in a single pass; nothing falls through the cracks. Questions are answered quickly. Guides who teach and hustle. The guide crew (Chelbee, Braeden, Bruce, Brittney, Dave, Doug, Matt and Tyler) rowed hard, swapped streamers, nymphs, or dry‑dropper rigs until we were dialed in; and they never stopped coaching. Cutthroat action on the St. Joe was the strongest I’ve seen in the West, and the canyon scenery on the Wallowa/Grande Ronde rivals the Bitterroot, St. Mary, Frying Pan, Middle Fork Salmon and Gunnison. Kid‑friendly approach. We first floated when our boys were 11, again this year at 14. The guides mixed casting tips with ecology lessons, kept them laughing during slow bites, and lit a spark that now has the whole family looking forward to fishing trips. I'm very grateful for this. Camp cuisine worth the trip. Breakfast burritos, veggie‑packed scrambled eggs, griddled flapjacks, build‑your‑own stream‑side sandwiches, lamb‑chop lollipops, pesto pasta, plus Dutch‑oven desserts with fresh whipped cream. Whiskey mules and locally sourced wine pair perfectly along the riverbank. They even packed my dad's favorite scotch. Experience design. Tyler, Sierra and the White Pine Team put so much thought and effort into the details of each trip. Ask them to show you their checklists. Focusing on the little things, good humor, and great fishing have made all three of our trips exceptional. Though we just got home, I'm already looking forward to our next trip with Tyler and White Pine Outfitters.

Incredible hunting, spectacular views I can’t say enough about the great hunting trip we had with White Pine Outfitters. This is the holy grail of bird hunting! We hunted for 3 days in Hells Canyon with our guide and owner Tyler and his two German Wirehaired Pointers. The base camp, set on a protected mountain top, has a rugged charm. I told my wife we were camping but when she found out we had heated tents, electricity and a chef she said it was more like glamping. Chef Dave was awesome. Three delicious, hot meals every day including killer brownies and homemade creampuffs with chocolate sauce. Tyler and his dogs were first in class. They put us on birds every day and lots of them. I haven’t done much wild bird hunting so I was surprised how large some of these coveys were… and just how difficult it is to take them down. These birds are wary and very fast. There is a reason they are called devil birds. We stalked these birds in some of the most beautiful, rugged, remote terrain in the world. You are out in the wilderness and the experience is incredible. I took this trip thinking it was a bucket list thing. But it is so incredibly beautiful out there I absolutely have to do it again. You know what they say about chukar hunting…the first time is for fun, but the next time is for revenge!

Superior service with a smile! Getting ready for a new fishing season has never been so pleasurable. As snowpack melt begins, filling our rivers, it’s fun to think about coming adventures on the water. I decided now was time to replace some older lines on several reels. Chelbee expertly aided my search for lines for different rods & different applications; all while clearly understanding my wishes and dedication to matching lines to my rods for the types of fishing I want to do. With her help, one rod was in effect ‘raised from the dead’; it came Alive, performing Better than Ever for casting And mending! Like getting a new rod for the price of some line! My fishing buddy had the same kind of success with a new Lamson rod and reel after the same kind of help from Chelbee; leading to a wonderful day of escape for us on the Lochsa River a couple days ago. Go for it! WP is great!

Tyler and crew were incredible. I stayed two nights at camp, enjoyed a few beers and delicious dinners. Tyler and his crew of guides are a great group to hang out with. I had the pleasure of meeting Pat and Shelby on his crew, both of whom were incredibly knowledgable and enjoyable to be around. I consider myself a decent fly fisherman, yet in just one day on the water with Tyler and Pat, I easily doubled my fly fishing knowledge. In addition, we absolutely smoked the cutthroat on the St. Joe. I came to catch fish, and learned more in the process than I ever dreamed. Shore lunch was as gourmet as advertised, and the cheesecake desert was a great touch. The next time I'm in Idaho, there's no doubt White Pine's Outfitters and I will be on the water. If you have any reservations about booking them, please reach out to me. You will not have anymore after talking to me. Thanks again...
