Tapped - Taphouse & Kitchen — Restaurant in Moscow

We went to this place for the first time last week with some friends. My impression of the place are as follows:

-Appearance: Very clean and orderly inside. I loved the sophisticated décor and level of lighting, makes it feel like a nice pub.

-Family Friendliness: We had a baby with us and they were very accommodating, offering a high chair and kid's menu (she didn't need it though).

-Noise: Some people nearby were loud, the sound quite echoes in there with the high ceilings. Figured I'd mention that if you'd rather have a quiet or private meal.

-Food: We ordered burgers, regular and Swiss fries, beers, and mac n' cheese. The mac 'n cheese is very rich--probably why you don't get a lot of it--but tasty. The burgers and fries were good, and all was eaten.

-Beer Selection: The beers and ales we had were well-balanced, flavorful, and went well with the food. Definitely get the huckleberry ale.

-Service: The server was really nice to us and checked in to refill things but didn't hover (I prefer that). Took a little while to get our check processed, but at that time, things were getting busy.

-Cost: For 4 people, the dinner check came to $55, which is pretty good (I was expecting $80), although we didn't order dessert.

TL;DR: Great place. I will definitely eat here again but go for...

First: Good beer selection and I liked how the place looked.

Second: Not a great experience. We arrived around 9 pm, me and 4 friends which none of us had attended before. Waitress first asks us if we want food and drinks or just drinks. We respond both, she corrects us that they are only serving appetizers at this hour (Why not lead with that?). I order fries, she responds they are only serving non fried items from the menu (Which is like half of the appetizer menu, maybe less). Eventually after all of us wanting fried items she says they will make them if we order immediately (What bar closes the fryer long before closing?).

Third: Feeling like we may be imposing, we asked when they closed (Posted on the door at midnight). Our waitress says anytime between 10:30 and 12:30, which makes planning to ever go there in the future difficult, especially with uncertainty with food.

Forth: Waitress closed us out and said a fellow waitress would help us, who never came by once, to the point the bartender came by to get us drinks because we were forgotten.

Overall I wouldnt suggest this place, and as someone who loves craft beer and goes out with friends regularly, I couldnt have been more disappointed going in with high expectations...

Concern Regarding Safety Incident

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my concerns regarding an unfortunate incident that occurred during our visit to your establishment tonight . My daughter and I were having a wonderful experience until a significant safety issue arose when an art shelf completely fell onto my daughter.

What has been particularly disappointing is that not one member of the wait staff inquired about her well-being or offered assistance following the incident. This was distressing, especially considering the potential for serious injury, such as a concussion, from the falling wooden board.

While I understand that accidents can happen, the lack of acknowledgment and concern from the staff is alarming. In addition, I found it disheartening that the server proceeded to collect payment without addressing the situation or checking on my daughter's condition.

I believe that a thorough inspection of the art shelf is necessary to ensure it is securely fastened to prevent this from happening again. Customer safety should always be a top priority, and I hope you will take this matter seriously.
