Foodland — Local services in Moulton

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I haven't been in a long time because my EX boyfriend works there. I went yesterday because it's the closest to my home. It was horrible. They were cleaning the floors an hour before closing so the floors were wet as we walked. All the staff are kids except the manager. In the very back by the ice cream they had open fans they were on and doing fast to make sure the product was cold... But they ARE OPEN !! You can touch the blades ! It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. In the very back by the meat there is a fridge covered in dirt, rust and slime at the bottom... The whole store was gross. I was lucky enough not to run into my ex there but I saw a lot of kids. There was one name Makayla and she was so sweet. But there was another working and she had a resting b face .. Also did I mention that this is a Christian establishment... From what people who used to work there told me- you can only be hired if you're Christian!!! Idk if it's true but old-time Christian music is played the entire time and only interrupted for ads... As an atheist I definitely feel out of place walking into that store. They don't make it feel very welcoming to everyone. Also their prices were different for everything that they rang up. I think there were maybe two items that had the correct pricing. We spent about 200 when my calculator only said 113!! ALSO Nothing is on the correct shelves if you go to the potatoes you cannot tell the difference between which brand is which because of how they have it labeled! They also had a kid ( Makayla) working the counter with cigarettes behind her... I believe that should have gone to an adult! The deli or where you get freshly made cookies and cake smell like mold and rotting wood? Idk why... Another thing that made me question ever going back- the manager locked us in because the store was closing in 30 minutes and had to unlock it for us to get out and a couple to get in. She did it for every customer after that I believe. I don't believe people are supposed to lock the doors until closing!

Foodland is dirty, with crazy prices, and teens who can't even seem to put a smile on their face once! It's like if you look different or even wear something that doesn't go with their religion you're judged! I will not return because of the workers and filth of the store! I wish I would have taken pictures to share!

The fear of seeing my ex, the filth, and the bad customer service will stop me and my family from coming ever again - good job foodland.

Edit - went there again today .. my mom couldn't go by herself and I was the only one able to go. It's still just as gross. I even saw my ex... Once more not a nice place

Edit 2 - I found out that the girl with a resting B face was my ex's new girlfriend... Yay. No wonder she looked at me so rudely. I didn't know it was even her. So 2 of your employees give me looks because I used to date one .. maybe teach your employees to smile. I wasn't even looking for my ex and I didn't know he was dating anyone. The sad thing is my mother wants to go there and I'm the only one able to help. We don't go inside if we see the car of my ex. Also! They have a new worker? She is the sweetest thing! Blonde hair - name is Allie I think?.

You know I'm not big on stores that flout religious themes specially a corporate store but you know what it works for this store it's in Moulton it's been here forever the music that plays in the background is always Church themed christian-themed music I like it I have nothing bad to say about it I've never gotten anything from the store that's been out of date or expired the prices are right at or slightly above where everyone else is but who can compete with Walmart but I tell you what as far as Hometown courtesy goes nothing is better than this place right here five stars...

Well staffed... FRIENDLY PEOPLE! This store is clean, well stocked, and has great music playing. The meat department offers a great selection of quality meats and if you don't see the cut you need, they will cut it for you. Local produce is offered in season. We like the Food Club brand products, sometimes better than the national brands. The One Day Sales...
