First of all, it is always a pleasure to interact with the knowledgeable employees of the O'Reilly staff. They know how to assess some of the most difficult descriptions of vehicle challenges which exist.
We are at this particular establishment in Moulton, AL, in need of a replacement windshield wiper on our 2011 Mini Cooper. It is late and I am weary of driving and travelling. The gentlemen behind the counter look into the crystal rectangle of knotraveling. computer terminals) and begin to tell me what I will require to fulfill my inquiry for a new windshield wiper. Bosch, RainX and another brand I had not recognized were out on display. I selected the sizes required and purchased them.
I went outside to remove the old wiper and put the new wiper on the vehicle. Once I removed the old wiper, I removed the new wiper from the package to put it on the wiper arm. But it did not fit. And the adapter items did not fit either. The wipers I just purchased did not fit the arm to function as a windshield wiper blade ought.
I retreated back into the store from the rain and showed this issue to the staff members. One of the young men went outside to look at the "arm" and came back in telling the other individual, "Well, that won't work." But this satisfied neither of them. "The computer says it should work"--so it must work, logically, in some manner. In the rain at the vehicle and inside at the counter, the staff members tried all of the pieces in combination to get the new wiper on the arm. No avail.
In the meantime, the staff member minding the store was searching on Amazon a solution for me because their parts did not satisfy our need at this time. One of these two staff members were going to resolve this issue to the satisfaction of the customer.
We finally reversed the original wiper to resolve the blade moving issue. I left this sleuthing pair of O'Reilly staff members with a returned purchase, an ASIN for a pair of wipers which will fit my vehicle, and an apology for not being able to completely resolve the issue. What they did not realize was that they had exceeded my expectations of service and assistance. I was satisfied that they and I were able to resolve the issue without over purchasing and being "stuck" with any product that don't work for me.
Thank you O'Reilly, Moulton, AL, staff for helping this weary traveller get from point A in Jackson, AL, safely to our home with gracious and polite service. You really do SHINE in the rain. P.S. It was raining pretty heavily for that hour and nobody complained. I will continue to be doing business with O'Reilly Auto Parts. I am always pleased to go into one of their stores. ...
