Mine n my mothers house caught fire n she ran out of a burning fire no shoes. I’m sorry, but our experience was a nightmare!! we called mgr Leon.Next day my mom who is prideful on her looks had no shoes n wanted to replace some make up and clothes. My mom understandably felt unconfortable walking in the store without shoes. I left our insurance information as mgr Leon requested, and not only he, but then other reps looked at us like we were poor white trash. Next dayI get a call from mgr Leon who said we give no charity for your mother coming in to my store like that. I get the nerve to call him n talk privately not only to remind him that we had money, but more importantly surely he wouldnt want his mom treated that way? Also that our home insutance check was available to restore 3 closet wardrobes.I also explain how keeping customers happy brings more customers just hoping for a sincere apology. No. He said im appologizing but I don't know why. This is why my family will no longer shop at this store. I sure do miss Mr.John Belk.He would walk around making sure customers enjoyed thier experience if not he would appolgize on your level genuinely n make it right. I thought most people like to think money talked, but this manager , who we throughly explained why she didn’t have shoes on bc of the fire that damaged 3/4 of our home. I was glad my mom was alive. How a man treats or treated his mom says a lot about a man. I’m shocked he is in...
Read moreWent to the Belk in Mt Airy N.C. As soon as we walked through the door a gentleman asked me if I had the Belk app, to which I responded "No, my phone doesn't have enough space for another app" "he said well let me scan this barcode so we can try." As soon as he scanned it he says "It appears you're right, would you like to delete some of your other apps?" I was like "no thank you" and walked away. Then as I approached the make up counter an older woman that stood behind the make up counter asked me if I wanted to apply for a credit card. I told her "no thank you and this lady says "it'll only take a minute"and then gave me a snotty look to which I replied not today, thank you though" she then peered at me over her glasses and smirked then turned around completely ignoring me like I was poor trash. Completely got nothing but mean girl vibes from her. She's way older and should know better than to treat people like that. What she didn't know is that I had PLENTY of money with me and was planning on purchasing some items but because of her attitude I walked out without purchasing anything. Not a good...
Read moreThey do have some great values at times and shopping can be easy because the aisles are always clear. And the reason that is is because there's usually 10 to 15 people waiting in the checkout lines and it takes an hour to an hour and a half to check out. I no longer shop here they don't seem to understand if someone's returning 26 items they need to go somewhere else so you can ring up people that have places to go and things to do. The staff that does the actual ringing up I have never seen people move so slow in all my life it shouldn't take more than 30 seconds to ring someone up they do it at every other store in the world but here it's a...
