Interesting experience. I went in the store to today to look at a mower. I asked the cashier if someone could help me outside and she said she would call Ron. I waited outside for a while, mind you its 90 degrees in the shade today, and no one came. Went back inside and asked the same cashier and she acted surprised and said she would get Ron. I waited a while longer, not as long since I learned form the first time, and when I came in the cashier was gone too. A another woman asked me for help so I showed her the mower, she had no clue, but said she could look it up online. Now we all know this is a waste of time, I can do that myself an it doesn't really tell you anything, but I wanted to be polite. She went online and couldn't even find the power, that was sitting in their yard, on the Tractor Supply website. So I left, and as I walked out there wasRon hanging out at the register. By the way, there was about 4 other customers in the store so it wasn't that busy. I would have given them a zero instead of a one but it wasn't an option. Look, I can buy a mower anywhere, mower shops, Home Depot, Lowes, even Walmart for Pete's sake, but my wife and I like to buy for local business, even franchise ones, to support the local economy. Hard to buy form them though when the don't want to sell. It was a Cub Cadet $1,200 mower, but I guess thats not an important...
Read moreI would like to thank Bob for helping me. He said he worked on a farm. It meant he knew Tractor Supplies products. I got a new pair of boots. He knew the pros and cons of all the boots they sold. This knowledge is a rarity these days. He did not even have to use an app to tell you where things were. He actually walked up to me and asked if I needed any help.
They also helped my wife, who was looking for their support for the program she is involved with at MOHS. Not all local businesses support the community the way Tractor Supply does. It is a good reason to shop there
Its really nice when you go to a store these days and there are people available to answer your questions. I really like this store. It has an eclectic collection of hardware and pet products. I like to browse hardware store and this is just what I look for. It has some things you have never seen before. It also has a wide variety of pet and animal products. I find it allot easier to shop in, than the...
Read moreFor years, I have bought all of my equipment, various mowing and cutting tools, my chickens, coops, and regular feed for both my chickens and my dogs, propane fills, as well as my yearly swimming pool supplies, etc. at Tractor Supply. I realize I am not a farmer who has acres to tend to but I suspect that the company liked my $1000 dollars or more a year (some years a lot more). After reading that Tractor Supply Co. has eliminated its diversity, equity and inclusion roles and goals following weeks of conservative criticism online, I will find my products and supplies elsewhere and will support other local companies. Neither I nor will my family members ever darken the door of Tractor Supply again. We don’t do business with...
