Bijou Movie Theater — Local services in Mount Vernon

This is truly a hidden gem! The owners are super friendly and are also the staff working to get the personal connection with their guest! Our first time coming and we ordered our tickets (super low prices btw!) Online and when we walked in without even knowing us had our tickets ready and waiting and even realized this unknown group of 5 must be the ones that ordered ahead. Great concession stand prices, I love that the owners come and talk before the show and do a raffle based on your ticket numbers, the chairs are extremely comfortable and spacious too. We have 3 in our family that are 6'+ tall with super long legs and had plenty of leg room still! This will definitely be a place our family visit...

Really takes me back to when I was a kid. The service we received and the experience was wonderfully nostalgic! From the low cost, ample selection of concessions(also reasonably priced), and the ticket number drawings for prizes done by the owners themselves... DEFINITELY was a very fun, happy mood, always welcome here type of feeling that you could never experience at the big theaters. Not only was I excited to see the movie on my way there, I also felt very happy to be where I was while I was there! 10 out of 10 guys! AWESOME!! Watched a movie yesterday. Really clean and cozy. The owners are really nice and welcoming. Cute little theater. I wish the best to the new owners and I know there will be a full booked show starting few months.

There is a 10% concession on popcorns if you take your own box and 50% on a refill. The prices are reasonable and they also have a compost bin for the leftover popcorns (nothing goes to the waste).

Thank you for reopening the theater and I would definitely be visiting...
