John and Andy now business partners and new owners of the Ace Hardware in Mount Vernon, Iowa. It is by far the best hardware store in Iowa. If between the two of them plus the other employees there. They can't figure out how to fix any problem you have, then it cant be fixed. I thought when Russ and Keith retired that there would be a loss of noligment and experience that you wouldn't be able to replace. I stand corrected!! I was wrong John and Andy have picked up the roles of the bosses. And have done an excellent job. I'm the owner of DM Zahradnik Hauling. And support the ACE Hardware store 100%. Why go anyplace else. We had our lawn mower serviced here. The gentleman who fixed it was a true professional. He explained what he was going to do and how much it would cost with a promise of a phone call if it needed more work. His only request was the lawn mower was cleared of grass. He also explained some things couldn't be fixed. Once it was done and I went to pick it up, I was impressed by the young man who worked the register. He was a teenager who knew what he was doing. I'm thrilled to see the next generation starting their adult life! My lawn mower works great now and I look forward to taking it back next year...

I love Ace in Mt.Vernon. Fast, efficient and knowledgeable employees. Fixed my chainsaw yesterday on the spot, even though i intended to drop it off and come back to pick it up.
