Hope everyone can take some feedback to start Monday morning! Y'all will know EXACTLY who I am because I was the only patient at 6am on Friday đ The only highlight of the office was the receptionist who ran my card - very polite, very friendly, a true gem.
Now Brian.
First, if a 34 year old patient tells you they do not prefer IVs in their hand because they have had it before and experienced pain and discomfort, what reason is there to treat said patient like a 4 year old and say there is no pain? Are you mentally ok? It is now Monday and I STILL feel pain in my right hand from where you inserted the IV instead of taking the 5 minutes I asked you for to look in my arm. I'm paying for this, so what is the issue? Secondly, I'm a NYer. I recognize pretensiousness 2 time zones away. Don't ask me a question to then not let me finish talking, because as you see, I'm an East coaster. We continue talking until we're finished. Glad you learned that Friday morning đ Thirdly, if my ride has told you the time they will be there to pick me up, why is your staff still telling them to come now? Is everything ok? Y'all are also at work so you can understand how schedules work, correct?
Great job on pulling the teeth that we discussed. Not so great job on coming out to explain the medicines and course of action to me once 30 minutes had passed and you knew the anesthesia was wearing off. I asked the receptionist and she went to grab someone who didn't come out for another 20 minutes as I was leaving. I don't know if that was planned, but if I'm already asking for instructions, why would it take an extra 20 minutes?
And Brian, are you scared of masks? "I can't examine your teeth until you take the mask off." Baby, just say you're starting so that way I know to remove my mask. I'm sure somewhere in all of that dental schooling they taught you how to speak to patients (maybe you missed that day - it happens). And then if you're going to completely remove my mask during the surgery anyway, have some decency to have a new one prepared for me. I haven't ever had COVID and I'm not going to. A doctor should be well aware about the necessity to mask in a doctor's office, even if the doctor is just a dentist. You still had to learn about the body and illness, let's bffr.
Hope it's a great morning and you can do better this morning than Friday morning đ One star for each tooth removed - a job was done. Now, check back in on the morals class you may have missed to never try this stupidness again from Friday morning, cuz I sure HOPE this won't be the last time I'm in your office. I'd love for y'all to prove me wrong by doing...

I had a consultation for TADs - they were 2 hours late for that 5 minute appointment....this was disappointing because I had a babysitter with my kids who had to leave to go to her own doctors appt. I let them know this and still I waited. Once my 5 min consultation was over (where the doctor was pretty dismissive of my questions and a bit rude...) the practice manager insisted on scheduling and having me pay in advance (Again, I was late for the babysitter, which I shared with them). I was running so late I told them I would call to schedule and that I would rather pay when I have the procedure done. They did apologize for their tardiness and did not charge me for the consultation, which I appreciated and figured they were just having an off day. Everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt, right? Well...if you read other reviews, seems being disrespectfully behind schedule and having a less than empathetic doctor is their thing.
Now fast forward to procedure day (today), Dr.Fangman recommended oral sedation which means you cannot eat/drink for 8 hrs before surgery, totally fine - except I get there for my 9:30am procedure and 30 mins past my appointment time they call me back and explain that they do not have one of the two screws they need to perform the procedure and ask me to reschedule.....This is concerning and extremely inconvenient because 1) I have taken off work 2) My husband took off work as well because you need a driver when being sedated 3) We were paying for a babysitter to watch our kids while we were both at this appointment 4) I have not had anything to eat or drink since I woke up hours earlier to make sure I was being safe and following all their instructions. After two bad experiences, I told them I will be taking my business elsewhere.
To their credit - the front desk staff was very friendly, apologetic in office and then they called a few minutes after I left to apologize again and offer a 20% discount if I rescheduled with them. I told them thank you, but no thank you. I was referred by my ortho and have already called them asking for another referral - turns out almost every other oral surgeon in the Denver area has better reviews.
Do your research and choose who does your care wisely. I am not usually a review writer but would like to spare others of wasting their time and hopefully serve as a wake up call to the practice to 1) Stop overbooking your schedule, everyone's time matters...not just yours. 2) Make sure you are organized and prepped to have the materials for a surgery BEFORE the day of...
Read moreWhen I set my appointment I wrote down the address, time, and date. I repeated back to the rep that my appointment would be at 8:45 am (because I get paranoid of ever being late I repeat one or two times to be safe)and she agreed with me. The day before my surgery I got a text saying my appointment was at 8:15, I spoke to someone an hour before my appointment and they agreed it was at 8:15. So little bit of miscommunication there, as well as I had to remind them while waiting that the text asked me to give them my dental card which they did not ask for so I had to bring it up to give to them.
From there the staff was nice, Dr. Fangman kept calling me bud which I was fine with, I told him I completely trusted his opinion on my extra tooth I hard that I shouldn't have it removed. It was not a secret that I was nervous because 1) I hate needles and 2) when waking of from being sedated I get scared because you just black out. I warned the nurse I may cry. I have anxiety it's understandable.... however where I am getting at is when I woke up, the first thing I remember is Dr. Fangman telling me, "You're an adult, stop crying." Very unprofessional on that regard. If you see a patient is anxious, understand you do mot know them and you don't know what it is exactly they are anxious about you dont know if they have had a bad experience previously or are just terrified of surgery's.
I hate leaving bad reviews overall because you should tell some ASAP if they did a good job because it feels good and may make that person's day. When you go to leave a complaint, however, you should sit back and think if this is worth the time and if it really was them or if it was you having a bad day and finding your scapegoat. So this complaint is because I fear others may have the same experience.
Also, when it comes to doctors and the messed up videos I have seen online, doctors need to understand that even though you think they wont remember, they just might. And unfortunately this is not the first time I have heard this told to someone too because the samething was said to my grandmother, however we are unsure if it was the same doctor for her, but it was the same location.
Also, one thing I was not comfortable with is that the rep took my card to make my payment and I told the doctor and nurse I wanted my card back first, however the doctor just responded saying "Dont worry she isnt going shopping." And sedated me. I did not get my card before being sedated and when I came to wallet was back in my pocket with my card. I was not at all comfortable with this and did voice...
