I showed up with several clean, household office things (radios, keyboards, cables, etc.). The gentleman who answered the door after a long delay accepted a few items, rejected others, and charged for the balance.

He dithered a bit over what he could take, and the process seemed rather random. Bizarrely, he had no ability to make change — and they accept cash only.

Overall, not worth the drive. Costs me less to throw it in the county landfill where the attendants are professional, friendly, and know their jobs.

If I feel the urge to go back, I’ll prepare like you would for a strip joint in the 80s: with a roll of one-dollar bills.

E-Waste seems intent on destroying the motivation of folks who are otherwise happy to recycle. Strong whiff of the Recology Store vibe, here. Better than nothing, but...

This was a really easy place to drop electronics off at. The person I dealt with was very friendly and professional. I dropped off a ink jet printer which wasn't part of the state program so it cost me a few dollars, but I would rather them deal with it than have it going to the landfill.
