I reached out to LJ Marks Jewelers and was blessed to be put in contact with Margie. We recently lost my Nana and I was gifted with her engagement ring that is 71 years old. Her engagement ring is yellow gold with a solitaire diamond. My wedding band it white gold so I debated having hers "dipped" to appear white gold and match my wedding band. Margie was so quick to respond to all my emails/questions, and answered them with complete honesty, explaining why she did not recommend me having my Nana's ring dipped. Every other jeweler I contacted told me "sure bring it in and we will dip and, this is how much it will cost". Margie understood the importance of this ring, and the importance of me not altering it before we even met, she explained all my options and helped me make the right decision based on what I wanted to do with my Nana's ring. I told Margie how excited I am to go home for Christmas so my Pap could see his wife's ring all shined up and being worn again. Margie had my Nana's ring ready for me in 3 days! Whenever I went to pick it up I was overcome with emotion... It was still my Nana's ring and it was PERFECT! I cannot thank Margie and LJ Marks enough for everything they did to keep my Nana's engagement ring as authentic as possible and so incredibly beautiful! I couldn’t be happier that I found LJ Marks Jewelers! i will never go anywhere else for any jewelry maintenance, service, rhodium plating, jewelry rebuilding, or fine jewelry purchase ever again. Firstly, they are not stingy with their graciousness and are very generous with their knowledge and time. I had never bought anything from them before but I live nearby and they always cleaned my jewelry that I did NOT buy there for free! So, when my 15 year old wedding band broke and I lost a diamond I went straight here and they consulted with me, did their due diligence on researching pricing and style options that may suit me and helped me decide what to do. I adore my new wedding that they built for me with my own sentimental diamonds - they even added a Diamond for me and matched it so well to my original diamonds I cannot tell which is which. I received texts from them with pictures and clarifying questions and options along the way and they thought of everything and proactively discussed it with me.
