Working with the tailor at Fancy Pants was the best experience I've ever had with any tailor. EVER! Needed a suit altered for daughter's upcoming wedding out of state. Hubby lost weight and his favorite suit was now too baggy. The tailor assessed the suit and hubby's new size and shape as well. She refused to alter and showed us EXACTLY why in great detail. I appreciated her honesty and directness. Next she proceeded to tell us exactly what we needed to be looking for in a new suit. She estimated his new size, and was correct! She spent a good half hour showing us exactly what he needed for his new shape and today's fashion styles. When we asked about specific places a quality suit could be found, she guided us away from a couple stores and offered a few good places to start. We rushed off immediately to find a new suit. Because of her direct and clear recommendations for fit and cut, in less than an hour of shopping we had the perfect new suit and dress shirt too! Took the new suit to her for alterations and she says it only needs the pants hemmed! Shopping success! All the time and effort she gave us, and she is only charging us for the hem work! WOW. Took my dress to her and paid 400 to step on my dress.

Reply: Original fitting you quoted me $400 flat. Due to complicated designs at the bottom my dress could not be hemed... only adding layers lifting it up SO I COULD WALK AND NOT STEP ON MY DRESS. Second fitting (after I had already paid) you tried charging me more money... after you had already ASSURED me I would not step on my dress. My exact words “will I step on my dress? Will i be able to walk and dance?” You assured me yes or I would have gotten service else where.

Over a month and half later and $400... I received a bussel, layers but cannot walk or dance in my dress TWO WEEKS before my wedding. Not cool.

Again I didn’t leave there without reassurance that I could WALK and DANCE without stepping on my dress... that was the whole point of getting...

Song did an amazing job on my dress. She always answered my texts, and was very understanding and flexible with her schedule. She is a retired wedding dress designer, so when I asked her to add sleeves, and more fabric to the back of my dress so I wasn’t too exposed she had no problem. She understood the look I was going for, and she made it happen. I’m from college station, and she was worth the hour long drive it took to get to her. SONG WORKS FROM HOME, BUT THE UPSTAIRS IS DEDICATED TO HER STUDIO WHERE SHE MEETS BRIDES. Her home, and studio were always immaculate. She must be a compulsive cleaner like my mom, because that’s what explains her immaculate home 😀. I never worried about my dress, because it was in good hands.
