This is awkward. My best friend and I come to this hotel fairly often. It’s our go to place to relax and take a moment away.
This time was horrible and it was in large part due to this restaurant.
Let me start by acknowledging it was a Friday evening. However, counting me, there were a total of four whole people in the bar. Four. Keep that in mind.
It took the bartender thirteen minutes to even ask if I wanted a cocktail. At which point I had to reminder her she had never given me a menu. Instead of coming to give me one, she had another customer bring it to me. Not a great look. But whatever. When she finally asked me again if I wanted anything (because she had gone to do goodness knows) I asked for a drink and a side of fries. A side of fries.
The bartender told me that she had no idea how long it would be for any food or it would come at all because the kitchen was so backed up.
There. Were. Four. People. Total. Now sure they may have had other things going on but it was a Friday night. Staff better. Get it together.
It was a bloody mess.
I’ve had this bartender before too. She isn’t new. Last time, seven months ago or so, she was saying she couldn’t make half the cocktail list because she was too new. Which is fine, I get that. But it’s months later and she still can’t run a bar.
Find someone who can.
