Brought my 3-year-old here and we didn’t just find a playground—we found a monster frog. 🐸 This bullfrog was huge, sitting in the marsh like some amphibian landlord collecting rent. My kid was ecstatic (he’s obsessed with frogs) and we got plenty of photos because honestly, no one would believe the size of this guy otherwise.
For the record, bullfrogs aren’t even native to Washington. They were brought in decades ago and now rule wetlands like this one. They’ll eat just about anything smaller than them—other frogs, fish, even the occasional bird. Basically, if it moves and fits in the mouth, it’s on the menu.
The park itself is great—playground, trails, open field—but the highlight for us was meeting Mukilteo’s unofficial “Frog King.” If your kids love critters, this place delivers. Just don’t be surprised if the bullfrogs stare back at you like you’re trespassing.
