My go-to stylist is Mary Jones. I followed her to this salon after she left a previous one more than a year ago. I always get compliments when Mary styles, cuts or colors my hair. She does a great job with highlights, btw.

Recently, she and I had a schedule conflict, and she could not do my hair for a special occasion. She suggested Sue Davis in her place. Even though I have a lot of hair that intimidates some stylists, Sue did a fabulous job, and once again I received compliments on my hair from friends at my special event.

Sue Davis also gave me a mani, the best one I have ever had. The hand massage and warm mitts made it extra special. To be sure, Sue Davis will be my go-to-person for all future mains and pedis.

The owner Carla went out of her way to introduce me to herself when I had my first appointment at the shop. She is also often at the shop whenever I have my appointments. At other shops, I often did not know who the owner was either because s/he did not welcome me or because the owner was rarely present. Well, Carla is hands on and wants her customers to be happy in her pleasant, bright, and relaxing shop. Her personal touch is obvious. You will love the decor and comfortable space. A pot of hot coffee and cool drinks are always waiting for clients at the ready.

I had my first haircut here a week ago and it was quite the experience. It was very busy, but it was clean and a great atmosphere.

Kris Viers came highly recommended to me by several people as I was complaining that I was having trouble finding someone who knew how to cut curly hair. (I moved and had to leave my last hairstylist behind). It has been a year since I have loved my hair. I was growing out an undercut and my hair has been bell-shaped and barely curly.

Kris took me to her chair right at my appointment time and we talked for ten or so minutes about what I wanted to do with my hair. We looked at pictures of past cuts and she listened intently as I expressed my concerns. After deciding on a general course of direction, she washed and began to cut my hair. It was awesome that she explained everything she was doing as she was cutting so I could follow along and understand what my hair needed in order to have the best curl.

Normally, when I get a cut, the first thing I do is wash my hair so I can style it myself. This time, I slept on my hair and in the morning, it looked so good and CURLY. I didn't wash it for three days, because it held its style so well. I am so happy! Kris also recommended some awesome products that allow me to wash my hair at night and sleep on it. I went to another salon(Supercuts) on August 14th, 2021, to have my hair just washed and after getting up from the wash bowl, ALL my hair was in a huge knot. The girl used a stripping shampoo on my long curly hair, why she used such a harsh shampoo, I don’t know. I left Supercuts in tears. My daughter called Studio 9 and my normal stylist there, that does my hair normally was busy and could not help me, but the girl on the phone said to come in and someone will take a look at the knot. Carla and Harper worked at getting my knot out for 2 1/2 hours, as other stylist would walk by, they would say you need to cut that out, Carla replied, “I want to try to save her hair”. I know any other stylist would have probably just cut my hair off, which would have been to my chin, but not these two wonderful, patient girls, they worked so long and very gentle to get my knot out. I never even met them before, but they were so compassionate and showed me so much love and kindness. I don’t know how I can ever repay them for their help and diligence in saving my hair. I have lost and I am still loosing more hair, I have since learned that the product Supercuts put on my hair crystallized and damaged all my hair, but I do have hair, thanks to Carla and Harper.
