My wife and I are 59 years old we went and bought some beer and a bottle of Jack Daniels. I handed my wife the bottle so I could get the beer out of cooler . When we returned to counter my wife set the bottle on counter and I was paying for it the clerk asked my wife for I D i told him i am paying for it and he said since she touched the bottle she had to show ID also he said it was the LAW . I informed him there is no such law and just got a call back from the Attorney for ABC saying there is no law stating that if a person touches bottle they have to show ID well he told my wife which is Latin that she had to go outside while iI made the purchases so i do believe that there was some racism in this store . Also spoke with manager Coleman he also said there was a law but again ABC Attorney say that not true so why else would my wife have to leave the store she didnt steal anything she didnt say anything so being latin is all I can figure. I see a few other reviews about being racist here also so if you are other than White dont go here they dont want your business. And i think if I was the OWNERS I would know and make sure all EMPLOYEES...
Read moreI've had good experiences at this store, but... I went in there Saturday, November 14, 2015 at around 4 p.m. to get a small bottle of Jim Beam. I walked in and straight to the counter because it's behind the counter. A girl was working and walked past me behind the counter then turned around and just stared at me. After several uncomfortable moments, I finally asked is this register open? She said to me, in a very sarcastic way, it could be. By this time, I'm wishing I'd never entered the store, but wanting what I wanted I stated, well it either is or it isn't. She said nothing. So, I asked for my product. She gave it to me, rang me up, gave me my change and walked away without a word. I have never been treated like this as a paying customer. I was shocked by her blatant rudeness and probably will never return. Even the guy at the next register was sort of lookingover at her like WTH. Read moreI used to love the staff here. I went right shortly before they closed , I went in with some change, and 2 cards and I knew exactly how much I had on each card. I told the cashier to take 50 cents and then take $2 off another card and the rest on the other. The cashier, who was very nice and understandably confused, tried to help me. Then the not si nice man, who I've seen be nasty before, stepped in. I apologized snd he shot back that I should know how much I have. I stated I DO know how much I have, I'm not sure why it declined. Well guess who was told they couldn't have the bottle because it declined, BUT it took it out of both banks?!(which means it was paid for!?!).
