Dino Dig — Local services in Murfreesboro

My kids are 6 and 8, and they had a blast here. They made friends with other kids, and found a ton of little polished rocks in the sand. Yes, it's a giant sand pit seeded with little polished rocks for kids to find. And for young kids this is way more fun than digging for diamonds at the mine, though we did have fun there too. Worth the stop! After our kids were done with the heat at Crater of Diamonds State park they were still wanting to find cool rocks to take home, it was so nice to relax in the AC while the kids hunted for rocks at Dino Dig. The owner was friendly, the dig area is clean and the chairs are very comfy. The kids had a great time taking pictures with the dinosaurs and finding more rocks than they know what to do with. It's been a week and they still ask...

Fun place for the kids to play and dig in the sand. Lots of neat toys, crystals and souvenirs to buy. We spent about an hour and a half here. Only found about 6 little rocks. Be sure to ask the people up front to spread out more rocks if you can't find any. I didn't know this until a lady came in right before we left and told them they couldn't hardly find anything and they added more for them.. about right....
