As a long time customer of Krogers, I was totally offended there today. I went to the pharmacy to have three prescriptions filled and called earlier to make sure they had the medications. I handed the tech two of them and tried to explain that I may fill the third but wanted to verify everything. She told me they HAVE to fill ALL prescriptions from the doctor so I handed her the third. She took these to the pharmicist who came back and told me he did not have the meds. I mentioned I called first so what was the real reason? He then said he wasn't comfortable filling them (so he lied the first time), I asked why not? He said because they were from two different doctors. Why yes I said, the regular doc sent me to the specialist and you can see they are both in the same field of medicine except one is a specialist three blocks up the road if you need to call them. He refused to provide me service even after I explained I also have a medical license. The tech jumped to conclusions and didn't even allow me time to explain that I also wanted another prescription transferred from Walgreens for them to fill when she took my papers. I went up front and asked for a store manager but could not wait any longer as I am in pain, so I went to Walgreens and they filled everything. Kroger needs to screen their Pharmacists before hiring them, evidently he thought if he wasn't filling them all, he wasn't filling any and never took the time to talk nicely to me, just flat out lied from...
Read moreGrocery shopping at Kroger is absolutely the worst grocery shopping experience I've had in several years. They have an app for you to download. But it's so user unfriendly that even the people at the service desk don't fully understand how it works so they can't explain it to you. They have things listed as sales, but there's digital deals and weekly sales and you're supposed to scan coupons with your phone? But when you do scan them they don't come up for sale at the cash register. And things don't ring up on sale like they're supposed to. If you don't watch every single thing that comes through the line, you'll end up paying full retail price for sale items. I just bought sodas that were on sale for $4.99. listed all over the front and middle and end caps of the aisles at 4.99. I bought nine boxes because it was such a good price. But none of them rang up on sale and when I complained about it at the cash register, the manager on duty didn't even know that they were on sale and didn't know how to fix it. They eventually comped me $5 per box after I complained. But if I hadn't watched I would have paid full retail. Kroger is the most frustrating grocery store to shop, and I think they do it that way on purpose to confuse you. Do...
Read moreI go to this Kroger almost every day, and usually it's a very friendly experience. However recently, after just turning 21, I went to Kroger to buy some wine. I went to self checkout with my ID ready, and this already angry worker stomps up to me to check it before I've even scanned anything. I hand him my ID, and he scoffed at me. He waved it in my face, and in the most condescending voice said, "You can't use this here!! It's ILLEGAL in Tennessee to use an expired ID!" I turned bright red, as he had just yelled this in front of a lot of people, and after looking at my ID, I realized he was right. I just hadn't known, but he had accused me as if I were a criminal. I tried to make a joke to lighten him up, but he just stomped off with my wine to his employee stand and said nothing else. I was mortified. He had just YELLED at me in front of others when he could have pointed this out in a friendly way and declined to sell me the wine. The worst part is, I think this guy was a manager. I don't want to imagine how he handles other customer issues, but I imagine it's terrifying. Other than this very odd experience, I normally have no issues here, but now I'm always on the look out for this scary...
