These are the best donuts in town, and we've tried them all.

Pro: -The level of sweetness across all donuts sampled, is spot on; other places are too sweet for our taste. -The standard glazed donuts have the perfect amount of glaze and are, texturally-speaking, very good. -The frosting on the chocolate twist is smooth and rich, but not too sweet: perfect! -The lemon-filled was a joy. The texture was just like the glazed and the filling was probably the best lemon filling I've had as it was tart and lively.

Con: The old fashioned donut texture is off. It is not as springy as it should be nor does it have the crunch that old fashioneds should. They almost present as stale, though I know it is not. My thinking is that the cooking oil was a little cooler than it should be. That might fix the lack of...

Literally found this place by accident. I was sitting in the ridiculous line of the Starbucks drive thru when I looked over and saw a sign for Daylight Donuts on the strip mall next door. I have a donut loving husband and I was feeling generous so I decided to stop and get him some.

It's a small shop with a large case filled with some of the most beautiful donuts I've ever seen. There were so many to choose from. While I was trying to decide, the man behind the counter, gave me a donut hole to try. It was still warm and soft, absolutely perfect. I ordered so many. When I got to the car I noticed they put a few donuts holes in the box as well.

Oh my goodness!! I literally just got done eating the donuts my husband brought home, and had to give Daylight Donuts a 5 star review. The donuts were so fresh, flavorful, soft, and delicious. My four-year-old got done eating her Fruity Pebbles donut and said, “This is the best donut I’ve ever had.” We’ve eaten at different donut shops in Murfreesboro that are great as well, but Daylight Donuts was amazing. My husband brought home a s’mores donut, devil’s food cake donut, chocolate glaze, Fruity Pebbles, old fashioned, and donut holes.
