Fin Fusion Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Murfreesboro

The food is FANTASTIC, but the staff as is common with earlier generations. Lack people skills. I spent over $75 on sushi and it was NOT my first time here. I was on a date and was enjoying myself for just a little over 25 minutes after our food arrived and a little old woman (our waitress) began pestering us, literally every 3-5 minutes asking if we needed anything. We repeatedly stated we were fine and just enjoying our meal. She came back for the 5th time and I just began to ignore her. There was nothing else to do because even though they are busy we are customers too. And though they already had our dollars we were just as valuable. I felt hurt by this incident and confused. Did they need our table that badly? Was $75 not enough for us to spend a little more time eating the food I was so excited for? Anyway if you remove the rude undertrained coarse staff from the picture. You get a lovely, lovely experience!! This is THE BEST sushi in Murfreesboro. Nowhere else compares or focuses the way Fin Fusion does. I tell all my friends to come here if they can afford it. The $75 was 2 drinks, gyoza, and 4 rolls of sushi. At another establishment I'd assume to walk out to the tune of perhaps $50...if I'm being generous. And a tip, don't buy the gyoza they are a brand of frozen dumpling you can buy at Kim's asian market. They are the fake meat kind, green and white bag. My husband and I and our roommate went here on 2/18 for dinner. The building is cute and has a lot of interesting decorations. We were seated at a table and placed our orders. My self and my husband both ordered sushi rolls and our roommate ordered a appetizer of seafood tempura for himself. The roommate received his food within 10 minutes and another 40 minutes went by and my husband and I never got our food. We watched 4 other groups/tables that arrived after us get their food and we had not even received a refill on our completely empty drinks in over 20 minutes. I eventually said something to our waitress and she just brushed us off and said she'd check the food and look annoyed when I told her we had enough waiting and wanted the check for the sweet tea and water. After we paid, the same waitress told us to have a nice night and never even seemed sorry that we had a terrible experience. I drove from nearly Nashville (35 mins) to try this place and there’s much to be said!!

1. DO NOT ORDER THE FRIED RICE!!! I ordered my mother the shrimp fried rice and I was in disbelief that it came in a kids size bowl. For 14 dollars the shrimps were cut up into small pieces. It was the 1st time I’ve seen this!!!
2. The hibachi entrees will be the smallest hibachis you’ll ever see!! Definitely won’t get you full if that’s all you order.
3. Seriously, the safest and best things to order are the sushis and they are hands down some of the best sushis in town!!! Super fresh!!!
4. I like to taste every Japanese restaurant hot sake in town. Theirs was OKAY. Not as smooth.
5. We were 6 adults and the rest kids all under 7 years only and one teenager. They will add 20% gratuity for parties over 8. And it is added BEFORE tax.
6. We waited closed to 1 hour for the food and there were only 3 other tables seated.
