Arrived at 9:45 am, got to order a little after 10, food arrived around 11:15 or so. Kitchen was obviously struggling and that sort of ticket time is unacceptable in any setting. What was more disappointing than the clear problem was the root issue which comes down to management and organization. The servers were somewhat attentive but should have been trained in over communicating anything that is severely not meeting expectations. Guests arriving after this should be given a heads up at the host stand and the manager(s) should be touching tables and being honest with guests on what’s going on and coming up with solutions on how to amplify their experience and keeping the servers organized. There wasn’t a manager in sight except maybe someone standing in the back of the restaurant? It was a bad look. I get that it is possible management might’ve been helping in the kitchen but first and foremost, guest expectations need to be met or they need to be informed when they can’t be met. I don’t live here so I likely won’t be returning anyways and I rarely write reviews but this was such an anomaly of an experience and I doubt anyone will return here after too long if it continues to run this way because a restaurant can’t survive if it runs as disorganized...
Read moreMy party had a very pleasant experience there, but would like to comment on the corporate staff that was assisting in the grand opening in Murray, KY. We were there on the 2nd day and found that the corporate staff was not very professional when speaking to the staff and very contradictory. My daughter walked into the bathroom to find one yelling to the staff about taking their break in the bathroom and left one staff member just about in tears. There is no reason for any corrections to be done in such a manner and to let the customers see and hear is very unprofessional. We all know to expect things to happen when dealing with new or returning staff, especially when the job itself has changed. But that is no reason to belittle someone. Also, to the corporate staff that insisted that our server bring my husband his coffee with creamer and no spoon... I would like to know how you stir your coffee. To the rest of the staff....keep your heads up! You are...
Read moreMuch like other reviewers I had high hopes for the rebrand of this Applebee's. My party of four was seated immediately and our order was taken within 5-10 minutes, but our food took about an hour to arrive. It was a relatively busy Sunday brunch time, but even so the wait was too long. There seemed to be plenty of employees in the restaurant/sitting area itself, so maybe this is a kitchen issue. When our food arrived there were issues. The English muffins on the eggs Benedict weren't toasted. Both omelets were drenched with butter, so much so it was pooling and congealing on the plates. My omelet was missing bacon. We also had to ask for a missing hash browns order. Portion size was good, but I'm not sure equal to the $15 average for each of us. All in all we were disappointed, and next time I'll take my breakfast at...
