My hope is Popeyes of Murray reads this.
First, AMAZING CHICKEN. JUST DELICIOUS. I go at least once a week and always get a three-piece dark meat, spicy, and some red beans and rice, all capped with their delicious biscuit. They also offer a discount to the military and this is highly appreciated.
In short, they have incredibly tasty food for a reasonable price. Keep it up Popeye's!
Areas for improvement:
Cleanliness...needs to be improved. Tables are often left trashed by the piggish customers (these disgusting people are, sadly, everywhere) and the establishment really should devote much more attention to cleanliness in the eating area.
Cooks being present up front. Listen, NO ONE (not even the pigs we sometimes call customers) wants to see an employee with a smock or apron just laced with flour and greases. It is just not appealing and my suggestion is limiting their exposure to customers. Having now seen this several times, it is apparent Popeye's does not understand the importance of appearance in this regard.
Finally, parking can be an issue. Luckily, planning ahead eliminates any possible conflicts.
Bottom-line: the food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is family-friendly. Spend some time and money there and...
Read moreGot there no wait at the order taking station , placed order, pulled around, asked to pull up waiting on livers, fine that means they are hot. Cashier said I'll give you 2 pies for having to wait 3 minutes turned into actual 6 minutes. She brought out 2 banana peanut butter pies, nasty. Pulled to side to eat, livers hot wonderful, 4 pieces of chicken old semi cold, nor fresh at all, onion rings greasy the batter was soaked in the oil where they 1. Either not cooked full time or 2. Been in the holding bin passed their time limit. Green beans, Cole slaw, Mashed potatoes and gravy was good hot, biscuit was a little old, was not flaky, when you pulled it apart it broke into 7 or 8 pieces. My husband ate his 2 pieces of chicken, my 2 pieces a breast and a leg, broke off of the leg and sampled the skin from the breast, still in fridge as we speak. This is my 3rd rodeo there and I dont plan on making another special trip to eat there again. It was a waste of a quarter tank of gas and the 20 bucks we spent. Actually Hucks chicken is a lot better, its where my next chicken meal will come from...
Read moreMy rating specifically deals with quantity. I only order popcorn shrimp from any Popeyes as it is hands down my favorite.
Tonight, I ordered 2- 1/4# popcorn shrimp, no sauce, as usual. I always have to pull forward because they drop it upon order. Shockingly, my boxes were not right by quantity. I went back thru & she said they have a specific amount...and I said, 1/4# to which she said yes. They went on & gave me another order of 1.
I took it straight home, uneaten & weighed each box. The photos I posted are exactly what I received & the weight of each. I weighed out 4 oz in the final 2 pictures to show how it covers the bottom of the box at a minimum.
A quarter pound is 4 oz. My orders were under 3 oz except the extra they brought out. That order was just under 4 oz. I'm not certain how they have arrived at their specified amount, but 4 oz is 4 oz.
Someone best get them a food scale. My order was right at $12... which is expensive. I have a right to receive what I order.
Do better Popeyes...
