Clean store. Everything in its place. Knowledgeable staff. Helpful staff. Kind staff. Huge parking lot. Still smell new. Haven't been there yet? Waiting for an invitation? Get in your car, and... Wait what? You don't have a car? Ever heard of Uber? Hail one, and off you go. The above should answer the question if I recommend the place or not? I'll certainly, gladly go back there again. Truth be told...done that already. Many a times.
Funny thing happened to me today. Just got a notification from Google to update my review of Costco! Question: why in the name of you know who, do I need to update my review? Didn't I already say what needed to be said? I mean COME ON!!! Anyhow, the funny thing is just I just went back to "my" Costco just now. Wanted to buy a tiramesu cake. Found out that it is seasonal. That's harsh! Seasonal? So, what am I supposed to do now? Dream about the damn thing until spring? I tell what then: you better not be in my mind until then, because there going to be a lot cussing going on in there.
The store was crowded this afternoon. Surprised? Why? It's almost Christmas. Last minute shoppers. Never misses.
Anyhow, got myself some muffins, and got out of there.
PS: Google, the next time you ask me for more updates, you and I going to have a chat.
MERRY CHRISTMAS... HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024 to ALL. To you year 2023, thanks for the memories, and rest in peace.
Updates??? Google Maps is asking me for updates. Why? Why do I need to update? What is there to update? I mean, I went to this Costco MANY a time after my initial review. The staff there is still freaking awesome. If not, "awesomer" if that's even a word? EVEN the people that shop there are awesome. There might be an epidemic of awesomeness in the air there. Go get some of it. So far, 2024 is trotting away at a nice pace. Oh snap wait... I'm still getting divorced from that lady. What was her name again? Humm... I already got the official divorce papers. I never knew it'd feel this great. Wait, this is not about me. Back to Costco. As I was saying, there's nothing to add. The place is still awesome. Everybody there is awesome. The parking lot is humongous enough to all cars. Please Google, don't ask me for another update. I'll just keep repeating myself. I kind of don't care for that. LoL... I take that back. I think I'm old. I just have to accept it. Accept that I am a senior citizen. At least I'm in the early stages. Don't you dare try to guess my age. Ain't nobody got a time for that. Old people do tend to repeat the same stories over, and over, and over. Therefore, I guess, I wouldn't mind doing another update. Until then, please...
Read moreI recently had the unfortunate experience of shopping at Costco, and let me tell you, it was absolutely dreadful. From start to finish, everything about this store left me frustrated and disappointed. Here are the reasons why I strongly advise you to stay away from Costco:
Chaotic Store Layout: Navigating through the store felt like a never-ending maze. The aisles were poorly organized, making it impossible to find what I needed without spending an eternity searching. It seemed like they deliberately arranged the items to confuse and frustrate customers.
Overwhelming Crowds: The sheer number of people in the store was suffocating. It felt like a madhouse with shopping carts crashing into each other and customers pushing and shoving. The long queues at the checkout made me question if I had entered a theme park instead of a retail store.
Limited Product Selection: Despite its large size, Costco surprisingly had a limited variety of products. Many essential items were out of stock, and the options available were generic and subpar. It was disappointing to see such a lack of variety, especially considering the store's reputation.
Unhelpful Staff: The employees at Costco seemed completely disinterested in assisting customers. I encountered several instances where I needed help or had a question, but the staff members were either nowhere to be found or simply shrugged me off. Their lack of professionalism and customer service skills were evident throughout my visit.
Excessive Bulk Packaging: Costco's obsession with bulk packaging is excessive and impractical for the average consumer. Not everyone needs a lifetime supply of toilet paper or a gallon of ketchup. It's a wasteful approach that forces customers to buy more than they need, leading to unnecessary expenses and storage issues.
Inadequate Return Policy: Costco's return policy is a nightmare. Despite claims of customer satisfaction, the process is overly complicated and time-consuming. They make it incredibly difficult to return or exchange items, leaving you stuck with products that you may not want or need.
In conclusion, my experience at Costco was an absolute nightmare. The chaotic store layout, overwhelming crowds, limited selection, unhelpful staff, excessive bulk packaging, and inadequate return policy all contributed to my frustration. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere, where you can find better service, convenience, and a more pleasant...

My boyfriend and I just signed up for the Executive membership yesterday, 4/15, at the San Marcos location. We were advised of a wonderful $50 promotion if you sign up for the Citi Bank CC the same day. We decided to go for it! Got approved to use $3,000 immediately, but $5,000 altogether. We only got a few groceries the first day. Today we decided to explore the world of Costco again, but in the Murrieta location as we were nearby visiting family. We were planning on buying a nice computer desktop setup, a new mattress, and practically a whole new wardrobe. We also went to the Verizon kiosk and the outstanding gentlemen went above and beyond for us. We got 2 new Samsung ultras. Now comes time to pay. We were near closing time and unfortunately lost track of the time at the kiosk. We are directed to the last cashier open at 7pm today, 4/16, and she was extremely rude, disrespectful, and unhelpful. I advised to her that I just signed up for my membership yesterday. I said I planned on paying with my new Citi bank card that I got through Costco and already used to pay for my groceries yesterday. She said I can’t use the credit card unless it’s tied through Costco. I thought I just reinforced that confusion with my prior statement? So she said, “Alright then, we’ll check and see if what you’re saying is true.” I realized I left my wallet a few feet away at the kiosk and said I apologize I will be right back. I ran over and back within 2 seconds to pay for my items, but the cashier told me she had to void my items and to wait a little while because she was ringing other employees up. Excuse me? Shouldn’t you be ringing customers up and prioritizing them over ringing up other employees with over 30 items? It wasn’t just a few items. So I had to stand there and wait for the employees who work and shop here daily to ring up their monthly grocery spree before I could receive any assistance and leave the already-closed premises. I don’t appreciate the lack of respect and mindfulness of the consumer from an establishment. I spent over $1,000.00 in one day at Costco, but now I am considering cancelling my $5,000 credit card, returning all of the
