Fat Man Approved Exotic Snax — Local services in Murrieta

I’d seen this place on insta so we thought we’d drive down and check it out. I was expecting it to be sort of like a 7-11 with snacks from various countries etc. it’s a very small place and half of it is toys with a couple video/pinball type games in the back.

We were amused and hugely disappointed that it’s just two racks of mostly Asian, but not entirely, chips, a couple soups, some cookies and Candy. I’ve seen many of these items at our local Asian market. And the prices? Wow. $6-8 for a snack sized bag of pork flavored chips. $9 for a can of Canadian all dressed Pringles. If you’re comparing prices to Amazon, they’re about the same. But if you have any access to international markets, pretty spendy.

I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why the items aren’t marked with the prices. You have to ask the clerk (very nice person ) for every single thing. I guess maybe some are embarrassed and just pay? Not me, I asked.

We did buy a couple cans of the Pringles that were new to us. I mean we were there. And they were tasty and fun but $9 each? Yikes.

No doubt, this place has a good selection on unique flavor candy, but there was no pricing on anything. Not all their candy is in their system, so they scan other candy that may be the same price. Candy ranges from $6 to $10, even if it was a sample from an open box, so don't be surprised if you pay $50 for 6-7 pieces of candy. I ended up buying a sample pack of the strawberry oreos, mint/fig oreos, Mr. Beast chocolate, gummy skittles, popcorn flavored vines, and something else that I forgot. I went to this store after seeing It advertised on tiktok and I was not disappointed at all!!. I went in on a Saturday afternoon. My daughter and I found all kinds of snacks I had never even heard of. We definitely couldn't get everything we wanted to try the 1st time, so we will definitely be going back. One of the owners actually helped us out and showed us around the store personally. The customer service was A-1!!
