Pho Tho — Restaurant in Murrieta

We are a regular customers of this restaurant because it’s really closer to our sons’ taekwondo place and all the servers of this place can attest to that. Our interest with this resto ended tonight coz of a very bad experience with a guy who boastfully claimed that he’s the manager. For so many times that we dined in at this resto, it’s our very first time that we encountered the guy. We are pretty sure that he’s the owner bcoz he has the nerve to argue with us, he has no humility and respect at all to us the customers. The problem arises when we were still happily enjoying our dinner then he approached our table and asking if we are done with the plates on our table. He’s in a hurry and keep asking if we are done eating etc etc etc. we found it kinda rude and disrespectful bcoz some of us are still eating and he keeps on approaching are table and getting the plates that he thinks we are not touching anymore. We lost our appetite when he started doing that several times so after my husband paid bcoz he came back to our table again and asking me if I’m already done then I said I’m still eating, that’s the time my husband corrected him that what he’s doing is not nice and he should let us enjoy our food first before he keeps on coming back to our table and keep asking if we are done eating and getting all the plates that he thinks are unused. For some reasons that we don’t know, It seems like he’s really in a hurry to clean up all the dirty dishes even customers are still enjoying the foods well in fact it’s only past 7pm. The surprising part was when my husband told him that tonight will be the last time we gonna eat at their resto, he made a hand gestures by boastfully putting them up in the air and telling us “ Yeah don’t go back here anymore. Go ahead. “ then in front of all the other customers eating, he clapped his hands seems like he’s giving us a signal that we need to go leave as fast as we could from their resto. He has no empathy and even shouting at my husband while answering back. Then he started saying things in a very loud voice using his Vietnamese language talking to all the servers out there which is again very rude bcoz we don’t have any ideas at all what he’s saying. We don’t even know if he’s cursing us already or saying bad words against us. That’s why we are positive that he’s the owner and not only the manager because a decent manager won’t even disrespect customers like what he did to us. A kind of manager or owner like him shouldn’t run a resto like what he has because he doesn’t even know the true meaning of customer service, humility, respect and customers rights. I just moved to the area and had a craving for Pho…We came here because of the reviews, but I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such rude service at any place compared to this restaurant. There was 8 of us (including 4 children). We all ordered something and after eating some of our dishes my mother asked if she could have a little bit more broth to finish her bowl of Pho. The male server mentioned that it would be an extra charge of $4.95. We were shocked, but respectfully declined the additional broth. When he returned to pick up some empty dishes, my friend asked why they charged that much, she was genuinely curious and was not rude at all about it. He replied back in the rudest way possible, almost yelling at us, to explain that they cook the broth for 8 hours and they don’t give away free broth. After that encounter, the male and a female server preceded to come back to our table to literally clear away everything even though we were not done eating. My mom asked for to-go boxes and the female waiter was super rude about that as well. They were definitely trying to push us out and do not appreciate their customers at all. Once my friend paid the $100+ bill, they didn’t even say “thank you.” A few days later, she saw that they added a tip even though she never left one because of the horrible service. THE AUDACITY. Customer service is really really bad. I ordered porkchop with SHREDDED PORK over rice. (D5) My order came and to my surprise it was different than what was written in their menu book. I was so diappointed. I called the attention of the waitress and told her that what I ordered was different from what was in the menu. She called another guy I’m not sure if he’s the manager or what and I told him that if it’s ok I’ll change my order instead because it looks like a noodle and not a shredded pork and he answered that it is really shredded pork but it’s the skin and so I insisted i ordered shredded pork and not shredded pork skin . To my surprise he didn’t want to change my order and that he insisted that that’s what I ordered and they can’t do anything about it and walked away. If that’s the case then you should have updated your menu and put there shredded Pork SKIN. Pls don’t even dare eat in this restaurant again if you don’t want your day to be ruined. The manager is rude. He is even shouting in Vietnamese dialect after I told the waitress that I’ll give them a very bad review.
