Genuine review - April 2025

Was looking for your typical, cliche Asian-owned donut shop to grab something quick. Found this place — one of only two options within 1.4 miles — and decided to take a chance.

Honestly, a little disappointed with the experience.

They're tucked away in a plaza all the way in the back, so I imagine business could be better. I just wanted a donut and some milk. Walked in, and the lady immediately asked what I wanted. I asked for a chocolate twist. She asked, "Two?" I said no, just one. Then I thought, screw it, and said, "Get me a regular twist too," — which I would regret later.

She hit me with the classic, "Is that all?" in a total salesman manner. I added a milk as well.

At checkout, the tablet immediately asked for a tip. Two donuts and a small milk came out to $7.40-something. She clearly wasn’t happy that I didn’t tip — for... whatever service — but I pulled out a $20 anyway. That's when she quickly said, "Oh, you're paying cash? Then it'll be less."

I was like... what? Okay, sure. Cash price was about $6 and some change.

Went outside, sat in their little area, and ate my donuts — only to find they were stale. Like, day-old stale.

Use my experience as you will. I'm not giving it a harsh 2-star review because I understand businesses are struggling, but honestly, asking for tips and adding excessive surcharges on card transactions — on top of already taxing the customer — is something I just don’t agree with. Especially since businesses can usually calculate those fees into their costs for tax...

Bought half a dozen donuts the other day. Donuts were good soft, fluffy dough. However the two ladies were just silent. No greeting when i walked in or acknowledgement. Also the lady who helped me had chocolate icing all over her fingers and arm almost to her elbow, i understand she was probably making donuts but i dont think she had gloves on at any point making them or stopped to wash her hands, icing them or transferring them to the front display. Croissant smelled sour and off and tasted bad. When they asked to warm it up, they just stick it in the microwave in front of you. Bagel was burned on the edge and tasted okay. Not the most professional, no order in how they serve customers, they keep going to different customers instead of focusing on one. They said it was homemade but I saw they literally took the bagel out of a cardboard pastry box that said it...
