I used to fill all of medication for me and my three kids here. I have continued to move our medications to other pharmacies. The auto order system is not ordering medication on time and I am constantly given just a few pills and have to make repeat trips back. Sometimes the orders do not even get placed, even after the supply is gone. I have been told over the phone that they would be ordered that day. When I call back to inquire days later the pharmacist has to manually put the order. This is a ridiculous system. I can only assume I am not the only customer being affected by this and that are now using alternatives to get their medication filled. There's no excuse to continually run out of meds that are repeatedly ordered on a monthly basis. Oh yes and not to mention that I am not called or notified by text when medication is out of stock, that it's being ordered. Even when I call and check by phone they tell me they're working on it. I call back again because I haven't received any kind of notification just to find out there's an issue with insurance or the medication isn't available. Why am I calling back 8 hours later, just to find out the medication is not available. It won't be available for three more days and now way too late to even get it from another pharmacy. This has happened on the majority of my medications that have been ordered or filled in the last 6 months, sorry Walgreens, I am done! Somebody needs to address these issues, and I am absolutely...
Read moreI hate leaving businesses bad reviews, but I feel this needs to be shared.
I just moved to this side of town and had 3 prescriptions sent here yesterday. I got a call that they were ready, so I arrived.
When I got inside and made my way to the pharmacy, there were 3 people ahead of me, and one at the counter with insurance issues. The associate did not call an “I see 3 to Pharmacy” for additional help until there were 6-7 people in line.
Many people in the line had waited outside in the drive through for extended periods of time (20-30+ mins) and ended up coming in due to the long wait time.
I waited about for 45 minutes (total) inside, just to pick up those few prescriptions (30 in line initially, and another 15 waiting for my meds that I thought were ready when I arrived). I’ve always went to the Walgreens on Apple/Quarterline or Apple/Getty, as I’ve always lived closer to those, and those locations are ALWAYSS extremely swift and organized. I’ve been able to get in and out of those other Walgreens locations in 5-10 mins. This Walgreens appeared to be the total opposite of those.
Also, their “safe” med drop off box near the pharmacy was OPEN at the bottom. (Photo attached) How “safe”...
Read moreI don’t really care to leave reviews but I really felt that I needed to this time. I have been a Walgreens customer since the Rite Aid shut down a couple years ago and ever since the switch I have been disappointed. It doesn’t matter what day of the week or time of day you go, this place is always short staffed and you will wait. Today might have been the worst day. I had only 4 people ahead of me and at least 7 people behind me. After 30 minutes had passed, only two customer ahead of me was helped. Those two customers also were told that they didn’t have their prescriptions in at all and were out of stock. There was only one tech working the counter and the pharmacist was no where to be found to help. I wasted my whole lunch break and did not get my script.
On another note, my husband and I get the same prescription but get it filled different places. His script is 50% cheaper than mine is under the same insurance and just different pharmacies. Walgreens is overpriced, understaffed, and exudes corporate greed. Today was the final straw and will be switching my prescriptions elsewhere. AVOID...
