We’re to even start. This has been such a struggle from the beginning. The first sales person we spoke with Scott Moore really seemed to know his stuff. We read great reviews about him. Half way through this process he was gone. Then things really got fun. Took 3 months longer to get our home and we had to live relatively 3 months longer than originally agreed upon. Thank goodness we have great family. I understand things happen so we just went with that. When the house come in it actually set on the lot for over a month because the home store did not want to pay the extra for the equipment it took to move the house. ( the mover actually told me this) and you would think that the home store would have know of this charge before selling the home) the house finally gets set up and it has the wrong flooring in it. I mean completely the wrong flooring. And the walls are painted the wrong color and we have to repaint because it’s a flat paint and every time anyone or thing touches the walls it leaves a mark. The sink in the island is not plumed in and the sink and cabinets in laundry room are not even in the house. The trimmers come to trim out the house and the supplies have not been sent. Then when they come back it’s so awful that my two year old grandkid could have done better. I did Call Sunshine and they sent someone out from the manufacture they re- fixed the trim. They plumed the island sink and put a mud sink in laundry room. Not the cabinet I ordered but it will work. The siding on the outside is so messed up it blows off and I have actually had to higher a siding company to come fix it. Home store sent someone three times and they never fixed it were it wouldn’t come off. I was not going to make a review because I try not to raise a fuss but now I am sick of the whole siding issue and am now having to pay to have it fixed when it should have been done correctly the first time or at least the last...
Read moreIf I could less than 1 star I would. My sister in law purchased a home at end of January of this year 2021 due to a house fire in November. Payed cash for the one on the lot. I understand issues arise such as cleaning up the debris and preparing the site. Once the site finally was ready, they stated couldn't move the trailer in the rain. Which I have known other companies moving in the rain just not joining the unites together and that is understandable. However this went on for about 2-3 month and there was some pretty nice days in there. So finally the unites arrived by another crew. Sat there for over a week and with much calling finally got someone there to place them together. So forward again another week, the home store told my sister in law you have 30 days to get all your issues turned in, she stated nothing has been completed such as the vinyl on the outside, the trim work on the inside. They told her all that is cosmetic and you have 30 days regardless after the 2 units are joined and this was a week later so she lost a week. Got the vinyl up and that is it so far. Still lot on the outside to complete as well as the inside by the company. The store states, well it is someone else who does this and someone else who does that. AC is another issue. I am a fan of doublewides and manufacture homes but I definitely would not recommend no one to go to this place. Here it is almost July purchased end of January. Purchased the one of the lot so they can have a place to live in quicker instead of waiting for one to get built. Both my sister in law and mother in law has been displaced for 5 months going on 6 months all due to the unprofessionalism of this place. So in a sense, they received their money so what is their hurry or concern. There is more but...
Read moreIf someone from The Home Store refers the name MARTY BATTERFIELD (unsure if that is how you spell his name) to do business with, PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN. He has neglected his duties, procrastinates, and doesn't fulfill his promises up to the standards of professionalism. I hope this man does better, as well as The Home Store being better at choosing who to contract with. I will not go into details, but I AM DISAPPOINTED about the referral. Be sure to ask about business practices and if there are others available to work with if this man is referred. I sent out a personal email on my disappointment with The Home Stores trust in Marty. Please be aware.
SIDE NOTE: The Home Store people are pleasant, but a negative was when we asked for the manufactures to be brought out to fix the flaws we were told an appointment would be made and we'd get a call back. The call was not received, so I felt I had to bother them to get a secure date on an appointment. I am from WI and people are WAY PROFESSIONAL about getting back to me. I will be more strict about who I do business with now because of not only this business, but how other OK businesses have been about...
