What a journey we have been on with this furniture store. Our many purchases to begin with went great. Then everything came crashing down with the suggestions of the store to use a finance company called Koalifi to purchase some more furniture we were wanting. We were excited to hear the financing would be 12 months no interest. All the sales associates were helpful as we applied for the finance to purchase the furniture we were wanting. No problems with the furniture , BUT OMG! After 6 months we decided to pay off the furniture and we were told the furniture had been only leased at this point. Phone call after phone call to this financial services and they replied that after 60 days the furniture at that point was only leased. The money that we had been making payments was only for a lease. Over $6,000 we had already paid and the furniture should had been paid in full at that time. We got know where with the company and Inlet Furniture acted as though they would help or try to do something. Never heard back from them. They dropped us like a hot potato. We even had to settle with the finance company and had to pay for the furniture again. Yes!!!! We had to pay another $6,000 to get out of the contract with the company this furniture that store told us to use. $12,000 …. Double the amount for the furniture we received from Inlet furniture. I am so disappointed in the owners for not reaching out to us to try and make things right with us. Never once did they tell us we would be leasing the furniture. We still haven’t heard from them and any resolution to say they would help us out or do something to make this right. As long as we kept purchasing furniture they were friendly and talkative. We were even calling the week of ordering more furniture from them when we found out about the mess we were in With the finance company. The feeling of disappointment and frustration we felt after being left without one word of saying we want to help from the stores owner. We had purchased our sunroom furniture, custom ordered ottoman , lamps for various rooms of the house, a foyer table and yet no support from the owners or staff. After spending so much money with them you would think they would want us to continue to be customers. They never replied to our last calls or emails. Just nothing. Nothing.

The service we received after there was an issue with their financial services they recommended all were heard was just crickets. SILENCE !!!! They got their monies many times from us and so why worry about what we were going through. I pray no one ever ask us about where to shop for furniture because it will not be with a company that drops their customers and disregards the mess that we went through. We thought we had found a good furniture company and people to work with. Unfortunately , this was not the case.

We have gone back to Hucks and Washington in Conway, SC and to J and K furniture in Myrtle Beach to finish purchasing furniture for the rest of our home.

Please please please think really hard before trusting this company for any furniture purchase.

I can hardly wait to see how they reply to this and try to wiggle their way out of this mess. Why even comment when you will not return an email or call...

My husband and I live in Charleston and were shopping for two chairs. We could not find anything that we liked so we decided to drive to Myrtle Beach. We spent the day looking at every store but found nothing we liked until on the way home we noticed Inlet Furniture store. We are so thrilled we did! There were soooo many chairs we were there two hours! The owner, Karen asked what we wanted in a chair and took us to one that was so soft, so comfy and just the perfect chair! We of course looked at every chair which believe me were plenty but ended up with the first one she showed us. Karen's employee, Susan stepped in and answered all our questions when Karen was pulled away by the many customers, she was very knowledgable as well and very patient. Karen's husband helped us load the chairs and was also very professional and pleasant. I would definately go back when I need any more furniture as they have such a huge selection of everything you may need for your home. Thank you Karen, we just LOVE our Crypton swival...

Bettie, the owner, and ALL at Furniture & Mattress Gallery have treated me practically like family after losing my own family which made a difference one would never realize unless they had gone through / are going through so many tragedies. After Hurricane Matthew, they helped me find a beautiful dresser that actually brought back a bit of the quality of my life as all was lost. I am so proud of it AND the rocking chairs I intend to purchase more! They are good, honest, and quality people who epitomize the LowCountry Family, graciousness, and pride in what they do. Add gorgeous furnishings to that. I am very persnickety, and I say their products are top of the line with prices better than you'll find most places. Mother and I have purchased from them for years, and their furnishings stand out as beautiful in the beach house. I could simply say this is a wonderful place; yet, that's not enough. They are a blessing, a joy with whom to work, and to be a loyal client / customer here is to reward yourself...
