I visited this store to have my rings and other jewelry cleaned while on vacation and to look at the levian jewelry to see what diffrent things they had in their store the one lady that helped me called my ring cheap and I needed to upgrade my ring to a real ring. My wedding ring is a levian custom ring valued at $17,000.00 and she said it was sterling silver and I needed to get rid of that cheap pice of jewelry. I told her I needed to get my jewelry cleaned and wanted to look at the levian pieces in the store she told me the pre-owned are in the back if I wanted to look at them. I told her if I wanted to I would I'd be at the levian case looking until she had time to clean my rings she came over and grabbed them and I told her my one levian ring was missing a stone all ready amd I needed to send it off she said we'll I can't clean it I said I know that I need to send it off she said why send it off just trade it up because it's not real I said I love my rings it is a aquapresea ring from levian so I don't consider it cheap. she said you don't have a protection plan on this ring there is nothing I can do I stated it's a levian ring amd it comes with one already when you purchase any piece from levian she said oh I didn't see it was levian..... it is very distinctly levian. she said you should take this to a guy in Conway I know to get the stone fixed. she took my wedding set and put it in the cleaning solution the other girl cleaned it they didn't put it under the microscope to check anything the girl cleaned my rings and bent my wrap so now my engagement ring doesn't fit in the wrap like it is supposed to now ypu can see the bend in my ring now. I took off my necklace she said I can't clean that we aren't able to do that it's not ours and it's not real. again I gave her all the information on that piece as well and she finally cleaned it somewhat. I gave her my husbands necklace his earrings and rings to clean and they checked his ring and it had 2 stones loose and said don't wear it anymore until you get home and can send it off we don't send off out of town guest items to be fixed. we explained we have had items at other stores sent off before we don't have a kays close to us so we came here. I waited around for them to get my rings fixed the other girl that had my wedding set had it for about 20 mins took it all around the store and to the back of the store. I asked if she was finished they said not yet almost I assume it's because they did something to my ring.... My family left the store I waited for it in the store they seen other people who looked like they would have spent money so they left me alone and didn't care. I usually buy things as investments but I will never come back to that store again because I was treated like I didn't matter and that I was "cheap" I think everyone should be treated the same weather they are millionaires or penniless it is just ashame that they act that way towards people. When I left they were so worried about finding a pandora Dumbo charm that fell off her charm braclet and how she was so concerned about it but not customers. I packed everything up and went back to my usual store to see all my familiar faces in north myrtle beach to get the service that any...
Read moreA couple of weeks ago me and my boyfriend went into the store to shop for wedding rings, Micah (who was truthfully amazing and extremely helpful) set me up an account to hold all my favorites in so that when he was ready to purchase he would no what I like, my size, etc. Well fast forward a couple of weeks, I receive an email from their store... saying there was a service request started and that a ring was purchased and all pictures of the ring was sent to me... Now my engagement is completely completely RUINED... There is NO surprise for me anymore...
He spoke with Jean (also very sweet and apologetic) regarding the situation and they said they would give a discount towards wedding bands, but also that he should have known and realized to change the email when confirming all the information for the service request... She states she spoke with the store members regarding training and how to avoid further situations like this from happening.
Why should he not return the ring and purchase elsewhere, somewhere that won't mess up, somewhere he can buy a totally different ring to help me get somewhat of a surprise back.. Why would we ever want to do business with them again.
I tried to speak with someone from corporate on the phone regarding this situation who also said that he should have changed the information... But my questions is that when creating my wish list, shouldn't the store be aware to change all of my information for him when he is ready to purchase???
I understand this wasn't malicious, that it wasn't done on purpose.. My advice would be not to create a wish list with them, take pictures instead just so this doesn't happen to you too.
UPDATE: I spoke with my boyfriend when he got home today regarding the above phone calls. He states that the associate that helped him purchase the ring that day clicked off on everything and all he did was SIGN... He said that there was never an email even present on the screen for him to change otherwise he would have obviously...
Read moreI've been debating on upgrading my wedding band from plain, yet sentimental, to a diamond band. When I have looked at them in the past, I kept feeling as if they were taking away from or looked too messy with my gorgeous Tolkowsky diamond setting. I am not a person who wears a lot of jewelry and my diamond is my staple.
While on vacation, my daughter and I wondered in to the Kay's at Tangers outlet at Myrtle Beach (501) looking for my daughter a little something. The salesperson, (I am so sorry I didn't get her name, but blonde hair, glasses, very neatly dressed) asked if she could clean my ring for me and went ahead and inspected it. ( My local Kays apparently did not log my last inspection cotrectly. Not cool local Kays but my MB team got it all fixed!) She also overheard me make a comment to my daughter as I was looking at the diamond bands and came over. Although I wasn't really still on the hunt, she showed me so many options, but none was sparking me. She then called over Jean, their manager, to consult.
Between Jean and her salesperson, they were able to match me to my perfect complementary diamond band! It is being sized, and will be shipped to my hometown Kay's for me to pick up when ready ( I will be expecting my local Kay's to do well with this btw). I am so excited! We had a great experience and got a really good deal. Thank you so much to Jean...
