If you are thinking about going to school here DON’T, Save your time & Money and choose another location perhaps even Oak-Brook. This location was extremely nasty to the point even the restroom areas & client room areas are awful but the new manager here has somewhat improved that by adding an Sanitation broad so that the students can clean all the areas before the end of the day. And mostly everything you need regarding products for clients is very low on stock or can’t stay stocked up. Very noisy, can’t finish exams nor activities because all the other students running around like they have no home training. Exam rooms are very small. All the kits they give you are very cheap ( Makeup kit, Wax Kit, Lash kit), No books are given at this location. The teachers show favoritism and doesn’t give accurate grading (depending on the student). Was barely learning here until Ms. Ashley started working here now there’s a better education experience and clearer understanding (Only if you attend school when she’s the teacher for the day) Other than that the rest does not explain or show you hand’s on activities nor interact with professionalism.
P.s There were more teachers when i first got here back in February, now there is only 3 teachers left on the campus and 1 of them can barely...
Read more(FORMER STUDENT REVIEW) Thanks for giving me the run around and never calling me back & every time I called, Giving me a different price & needing to call me back..This school also doesn’t certifie or teach half the stuff that other schools do. I am now attending Estelle skin institute & I’ve decided to just start from scratch. I’ve learned so much more at Estelle being PART TIME WEEKENDS. than the 7 months full time I spent wasting my time & money at Naperville skin institute. It was nothing but problems with keeping teachers & drama between students & students vs teachers. Their products are also garbage. I’m now being certified with lash extensions, makeup, PCA, & we get certified w/laser through a medspa included into our tuition. We have bonus classes on the regular like hydrafacial demo. And the list goes on. Don’t waste your time or money here. Weird how all the reviews talking negatively about NSI disappear all the time. Cuz I know of so many former students complaining and giving poor review. These good reviews are...
Read moreFirst, the student who worked on my back was great. I got the microderm treatment. She was professional, gentle, and thorough. My back looked and felt smoother after the treatment. However, I am giving 3 stars because the position I was in...on my belly with a face cradle that was tilted up so my head was pushed back, was horrible. My neck and lower back still hurt from laying this way for an hour. It's truly painful to be tilted that way, it puts pressure on your neck and lower back, and I can't move my neck back without pain since the treatment. I felt it cramping in the middle of the treatment, I didn't think it would be so bad, but when I got up after an hour, it was so painful. Please pay attention to the position of a client. It makes all the difference, and I'm still stretching and in pain 3 days after. Positioning the client is part of the treatment, and you really need to teach that correctly. The pain in my neck has outweighed the "relaxing" benefits of this treatment, eventhough the student's...
