The food here is Delicious. I always get their chicken burrito and the skirt steak, which is so tender, cooked Perfectly, and seasoned beautifully. Love the veggie tacos- I always order the flour tortillas. Warning-- they have No Mild salsa. Everything is Hot. They lost a star because of it. So now I get it to go & use my own, which is a pain because if I want to have it while out, I have to stop at a store to first purchase salsa that I can actually eat. That's annoying and inconvenient and frankly, they lose money because oftentimes I don't want that hassle so I eat elsewhere. EDIT If you want OUTSTANDING salsa, I Highly recommend Los Burritos Tapatios (mine is in Darien). And they're open very late their food is Phenomenal- service, too. Now I go here instead. I don't know what they do with their rice, but it's straight-up Magical. I highly recommend Burrito Parrilla Mexicana in Naperville and Lisle. Not as much a fan of the Lombard location; somehow it wasn't as good. And they have No drive-thru, either. Two...
Read moreKind of ok, not really very good. Expectations were high going in. Good average reviews. Clean attractive building. But the food is what counts. I spent $18.47 for 3 enchiladas with beans and a fountain drink. Counter service/self service. The free bowl of chips was warm and I was expecting fresh fried. They were stale. They looked and tasted like factory made chips, except that they had a greasy after taste you usually get from chips fried in lard or old oil. They did leave a nice assortment of salsas and some them were pretty good. The enchiladas were kind of lame. Mushy and tasteless. Covered in a bland tomato sauce. It looked like they had a big aluminum pot simmering away on the stove maybe making some refried beans. But the refried beans on my plate had the same dead slightly metallic taste that all canned refried beans share. It wasn't a bad meal, but for the money it wasn't the quality meal I...
Read moreOrdered a veggie burrito for lunch during a weekday. The burrito typically comes with zucchini, yellow squash, and red pepper in addition to the standard beans, lettuce, cheese, and rice. I omitted the squash and zuchinni and should have done the same with the red pepper. The red pepper is placed in the burrito in large chunks which I found to be undesirable for a Burrito. The good thing was that they were grilled chunks. The choice of numerous sauces is great and was served with the complimentary Chios and salsa. I would recommend this place for some quick Mexican food and would visit for...
