Been having a lot of issues with the curbside pickup option recently. Initially I did it a few weeks in a row with no issues. Then one week, I pull into the curbside pickup spot to pick up my order (I had been notified that it was ready for pickup and I arrived during my designated time slot). The estimated time for them to bring it out was 5 minutes. After 15+ minutes of waiting in my car, I received a message saying that nobody was available to bring out my order and instructing me to go inside and pick it up myself. I went inside and had to search for an employee so that they could give me my order. I wouldn't really mind doing this, but having to wait in the parking lot almost twenty minutes first was frustrating because at that point, doing curbside pickup didn't even save me any time. Two weeks ago, I tried another curbside order. The day I was supposed to pick it up, I received a message that no shoppers were available and another one shortly after that due to high demand, my pickup timeslot had been moved to the following day, but earlier in the day (when I am at work and unable to complete pickup). To fix this, I had to call instacart customer service and get them to shift it to a later timeslot when I was actually available. I got an email that confirmed this. Within an hour, I received another email that my time slot was pushed out yet another day later. Frustrated, I canceled my order and went to another grocery store. I decided to try again this week thinking maybe their issues had resolved, but this seems to have been a mistake. My pickup timeslot is nearly over and I have not received any notification as to whether my order has been shopped, or timeslot shifted. I am going to cancel my order and don't see myself coming back to this store. I think it's a fine store to shop in, just be prepared for poor service / having your order timeslot pushed out indefinitely if you want...

Being a brother company to Trader Joe's, which I so terribly wish was closer to me, I can easily run into Aldi with ease as everything is kept in the same location with little variance. No hidden strategies, trying to trick you into seeing more and buying more. Just simple, straightforward products for those mindful of varying diets. Getting in and out is so easy. The store is always clean and not only does the quarter needed to borrow a buggy/cart cause folks to not leave them randomly in the parking lot but it also seems to make folks kinder. I couldn't begin to say how much more patient shoppers are while in this atmosphere versus bigger chain stores plus often you find customers just offering to give their cart to someone, never mind the quarter, and at least they may say "Hey do you need a cart? Wanna swap(quarter in hand for their cart)?" So it gets folks to talking and sharing kindly with strangers. I've seen so much more good coming from that simple necessity with Aldi and no one seems to mind. Oh, and I SAVE SO...
