Absolutely blown away by our experience at Alebrije Nashville! This place is an absolute gem and hands-down serves the best tacos we’ve had in Nashville—and we’ve tried a lot of tacos.

I had the fish tacos, and my wife went with the brisket tacos. Both were absolutely phenomenal—perfectly balanced flavors, incredibly fresh ingredients, and tortillas that were next-level good. You can truly taste the care and tradition in every bite. The masa is unlike anything else in town, and knowing it’s made from corn imported from a family farm in Oaxaca just adds to the experience.

Alebrije’s commitment to preserving ancient Mexican culinary techniques while using local, seasonal ingredients is something really special. This isn’t just food—it’s a cultural experience wrapped in love and authenticity.

My husband and I stopped by Alebrije for a late lunch and it was so delicious! We had the Chicken Mole Enchiladas, Brisket Tacos, Pastor Huarache, and Tres Leches. The mole was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy, it was so rich and earthy. The homemade tortillas were so flavorful, especially accompanied by the tender brisket. The huarache was an unexpected delight, the masa base was so crispy, yet soft. And finally, the Tres Leches was so light and not too sweet, the perfect last bite. Tacos are my favorite food, and Alebrije serves up the best tacos I have ever had. I have been on a lifelong taco tour through Texas, California, Mexico, Central America, and even Europe. This is world class food for the same price as a Chipotle bowl. I hope that Alebrije wins an inaugural Michelin Star in Tennessee - it would be well deserved.
