Update 3: The staff are nice and helpful but sometimes really hard to get ahold of (although I wasnāt easy to get in touch with either). This place has the dumbest hours and I keep getting shown they are open on Google and then check the website and it says theyāre open, but theyāre closing early (not to mention only being open until 10pm Friday isnāt great with my work schedule). I wish it was just 24/7 (168hr a week) not 5am Monday to 10pm Friday and 7am to 9pm Weekends (113hr a week). I just want to be able to show up when works for me and recently itās only been on the Fridays and the weekends late night.
Update 2: It feels like things are improving more and more. The staff continue to be really helpful and chill, although for someone blind as me itās hard to tell who they are around the gym to ask for help. Maybe the next staff shirts could be TruFit blue or something. Haha.
Seems like cleaning is happening more thankfully. I also feel like the lack of supplies has been rectified. Additionally it feels like the garbage that was all over the parking lot is cleaned up, but there is still a āmurder poleā in the parking lot that they need to take out. I saw this lady trip and almost eat it.
All Iām waiting for is a working sauna and better gym maintenance.
Update: Now the gym is finally open. While the staff there are nice, things are already starting to experience issues. The sauna isnāt open, the app wonāt let me sign up for classes, the AC doesnāt seem to be working as every window and beam was covered in condensation tonight and it was steamy feeling (so maybe that makes up for sauna problems?), there are no paper towels to sanitize equipment, there is no sanitizer for equipment, the carpet up stairs hasnāt been vacuumed in what looks like a week with high traffic, and the trash cans are overflowing onto the floor half the time. It feels like the staff are trying their best but someone needs to step up and help them while theyāre busy with all the other work at the front. Itās a brand new club, it shouldnāt be like this.
So glad I havenāt canceled my Planet Fitness membership yet. š (Tap to read more šš»)
Iām really confused. I got an email the gym is open. It didnāt say what hours. It said I would get a second email to set things up but the club was open and available to use regardless.
I assume that meant that I could visit the club even without having the sign up info. Itās been 3 days (but also a holiday so I expect delays).
I showed up to my club around 10pm this Sunday and itās closed.
I checked the website and itās still showing sign up rates and no club hours. The hours arenāt listed on Google either. I added what I saw from a reviews for them on Google, which is 24hr M-F and Weekends from 7-9pm.
Iām really hoping this gets better but until things are clearer and better managed I am leaving my two stars here.
I donāt have any trust in how things have been run so far. We were told via email (which is much appreciated) āthe club is open and we are giving you the rest of November without your first chargeā, but then youāre not even giving us a way to get set up to go to the club in the first place, which just feels like...
Ā Ā Ā Read more*UPDATE: After being able to get the full experience of TruFit. I am able to add more insight. First, Steven and Ving are still great. Second, I agree that this location is not as up to par as the other locations. I do not do filth, and after visiting the Madison and Donelson locations, I feel very frustrated and slighted. Those locations are so nicely upkept and clean. The locker rooms and saunas are updated with frosted doors and stones showers, with nice clean vinyl floors and chic modern lockers. The areas are organized. The restrooms are fresh and clean. I do not understand why the Antioch location hasn't seemingly had the same care invested into it. The cleaner literally was frustrated that women were using the restroom while he wanted to clean it so decided that he just wasn't going to clean it at all.
It frustrates me because this is the closest location for me, so this is my home site. I want to have the same clean and state of the art experience as those at the Madison and Donelson location. Oftentimes, Antioch establishments are treated like crap as a reflection of what business owners think of the community/area and patrons of the area. As a homeowner who cherishes this community, I would appreciate an equitable TruFit gym experience as will citizens of Bellevue, Mt. Juliet, and Franklin when Trufit gyms are opened in those locations.
I shouldn't have to travel to Madison or Donelson to see the worth of my TruFit gym Membership.
The steam in the group fitness room is dangerous. It makes the floors wet and slippery. When doing a high intensity workout like step aerobics, one can very easily bust their a**. The mats are crumbling and dirty and not something I'd want to lay on to workout. So, I bought my own mat and cleaner.
There is turf that is coming up and parts of the floor. The ceiling is leaking and falling apart. and the women's workout area is sometimes freezing. This is not okay. For those who have memberships that only allow them to experience Antioch TruFit, they deserve to have an equitable experience. Please fix this. This...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been going to TruFit for a year and a half, starting at the Madison location then moving to Antioch when I had to relocate.
At first the gym was great, itās just like a planet fitness in terms of style of equipment. It has all the equipment you need just like a normal commercial gym. I never personally needed to work with a trainer from this gym, but they do have great attitudes and I see them working with other people all the time. I love the free weight section and the deadlift area. The Evolt body scan machine is great and has helped me the last year in recomping my body.
This review is so low because of how unsafe I feel this gym is in terms of cleanliness. There is mold everywhere! I am having to switch gyms because I donāt even feel like I should even be breathing in the air inside of this TruFit since there is so much mold. It is even caching the walls and causing parts of the ceiling to collapse. The staff and manager is aware, and all that has been done so far from our perspective is that they have added dehumidifiers to many of the rooms. This is not a big enough change to actually take care of the issue, as mold is still continuing to grow on the walls. There are issues with the air conditioning which definitely contribute to the mold growth. If it is hot outside then it is hot inside, if it is cold outside then it is VERY cold inside. I have ran into the issue in the womenās bathroom where every single stall is out of toilet paper at the same time. Many times I will go to wipe down my equipment I was using only to run into the issue of the cleaner bottle being empty or absent.
What sucks is that since this is a commercial gym most of these reviews will barely get acknowledged. I hope that this gym is able to handle the cleanliness issue soon, because then it...
