One day, on the way home from work I asked Siri to take me to where the closest gyro place was. It then sent me 5 miles south of here to a gyro place on the backside of a strip mall. An empty one. I donāt even remember what it was called. The quality of the food was about the same. Your standard CHICAGO STYLE GYRO.
A quick google search a few weeks later showed me that there were 3 literally right around the corner from my house. This being one of them. So in my frustration in learning this, I decided to try this place today. A 2 minute car ride and the 3 minutes of time it took me to get in and out with a STACKED gyro sandwich combo was all it took for this to become a staple of my weekly diet. Staff is friendly and if I could say one negative about this place, itās that the guy making the sandwich moved a bit too quick and led to a bunch of ranch on the top of my food before I could say different. Which is fine, I liked it regardless and it was only the top so the container of cucumber yogurt sauce was put to use for the remainder.
If you want a gyro and it to be a little better than most eh places, this is your spot. Iām gonna try the rest in my area to compare against it but they set the bar...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I just left Samās Gyro and we were displeased with the service that they provided. From the time that we placed our order the guy wearing glass was disengaged, nonchalant, and rude. He was really unfriendly. The other guy at the cash register had the exact same attitude as if we ruined their day because they had to service us. First, I thought that maybe they just having a bad day, but my husband noticed that people who entered the establishment who ālooked just like themā their demeanor changed. My husband immediately insisted that we get our money back because we werenāt about to support and help fund this disrespectful establishment with our hard earned money. So, as you guessed they got an attitude because my husband called them out. Plus, these mofos had the nerve to have some āmotto about Godā above the microwave. Really?!? We are entrepreneurs as well and we understand the game that our customers provide our family with food, shelter, clothing, etc. Maybe they forgot...if so they need to wake up quick. Also, to the lady that I asked if she had the same treatment and she basically replied yes at times... you should have followed us...
Ā Ā Ā Read moretraveling can often prove difficult when looking for something out of the ordinary / good to eat. being a vegetarian on top of this can add another layer of complexity to that as well. we were traveling through TN on our way home from FL and happened across this little joint. the owners and their family ran the place and were very helpful. we gave their falafell a try, and it was awesome! they loaded it up with lettuce, tomato, onions, and tabouli salad. this was new to us...our local falafell guy does not add all of these toppings to his (i may have to suggest it the next time we go). their hummous was also delicious and came with an ample amount of fresh pita bread (more could be acquired for a few pennies). fresh cut french fries topped our meal. we had been traveling for days and were used to spending a small fortune on meals. we spent under $20 and were completely full of delicious food when we left. there are no other reviews at this time for the restaurant, but they deserve a five start rating. the taste and value are...
