This is definitely, in regard to Pitbull, as a whole, but I really need to highlight, Caleb Bishop. So, in a nutshell, there was a bit of a fluke, sorta, perfect recipe for potential disaster, effect present within my experience. To clarify, at no fault of Pitbull nor Caleb. With that, to say that Caleb rolled with the punches (there were a couple points where I def admit to not being the easiest going customer) and came out of the whole thing like a champ, would honestly, be an understatement. Hate to use a bunch of cliche phrases, but he rose to the occasion with pure class, respect and dedication to the customers satisfaction. Of the innumerable guitar/gear purchases I've made over the years, from just about every corner of the country and every type of shop/company, Caleb (& of course, Pitbull) easily shines above most. Patient with my indecisiveness. Endlessly willing to not only, answer any/all questions, but also, proactively recommended top notch solutions. You'd think he had no other customers or agenda at play. Very impressive commitment to customer satisfaction, genuinely caring about me feeling prioritized. Look, I realize this review is unappealing long, as it is, but as I insisted to him (he said was not necessary, but if I really wanted to, it of course, would be appreciated) there's no way I'm not giving this guy his due diligence. Went from, didn't care which dealer I was getting my guitar from (ESP/LTD Ec1000 Baritone) to, wow, I fully intended to give Pitbull my business, any chance that I can. Almost hate to admit this, as I realize how beneficial it is, but I RARELY ever leave reviews. Which is certainly, a testament to just how incredibly impressed I am, with Pitbull & Especially, Caleb. Bravo, good sir. You did a truly outstanding job with everything. People,.get over to Pitbull. Find Caleb haha. Really, though...smart, polite, attentive, helpful, dedicated. He's prob gonna be embarrassed lol, but the service/overall customer experience was top shelf. Simply doesn't get any better than this. Sorry for the long winded, brag fest, but, my man, it was truly a pleasure doing business with you. So Highly...
Read moreThis place is by far the best store in San Diego for pro audio gear. The crazy thing is they are getting better and better every month it seems like. The service is the Excellent. AJ is extremely knowledgeable about gear, very friendly and one of the most honest salesmen you will meet. The storefront is slightly small right now but everything in it is top notch with items available for any budget. Seems like they carry more quality gear in that small a space than guitar center does throughout their store. I hear they plan on expanding the storefront soon anyway. They also have a warehouse for the rest of the gear they sell about a block away so if you need something not in the storefront they probably have it at the warehouse.
This place deserves 5 stars based on service alone but as top notch as the service is, the prices may be even better. Their prices are the best i've ever found from any store, internet or brick and mortar... Pitbull has prices far below that of guitar center, sweet water, sam ash, musicians friend, you name it. They are always willing to cut you a good deal, especially if you buy alot of gear from them. All of their used gear is in pristine shape and they will refund within 30 days if it doesn't work I believe. All you have to do is bring it back. The prices on the used gear are almost yard sale low for what they are offering, so before you hit up craiglist, ebay or guitar center, I highly recommend calling Pitbull.
It is a bit longer of a derive for me than guitar center but the prices and excellent service make getting gear from pitbull a no-brainer. They also have an ebay store and will ship items so if you can't make it to the store I recommend at least checking that out.
Thanks to Pitbull I got 16 channels of high quality mic preamps and up to 28 channels of I/O for the price I would have paid for 8 mic pres...
Read moreHorrible Refund Experience So I went to return a guitar on Thursday, they check it and it was good. Then the manager AJ wrote me a check to take to the bank and cash it out, so I drove there and they told me that they could not cash it, drove back to the store and AJ called the owners of the account so they will sign the check and be able to cash it, he told me to come back later and that he will notice me with an urgent e-mail and a call as soon as the check is available for me to pickup (guess what... he never did) I made him aware that I was not a local and lived an hour away so I can't just be coming a going... (he told me he did to) while quietly his co-worker Shane whispered "no, you don't" and I noticed he was lying. So I went back on afternoon to pick the new check with the owners signature and he told me that that check will 100% work to cash out. At that time it was too late to cash it because banks close at 5pm. So next day (Friday) drove back to USA from Tecate again made an hour line to cross border and went to the closest chase bank hoping that they will just cash out the check and leave all this experience behind. The lady at the bank told me that with the type of account Pitbull Audio wrote a check on me it was not possible to do cash outs, I was so frustrated at that point, had to drove back to the store for the fourth time and finally after arguing with AJ and he just saying "im not the problem don't get angry at me". I told him I wasn't but that he needs to do a better job and stop wasting my time making me drive hours to banks with different checks that don't work... After a few minutes he showed up and finally gave me my refund on cash as it should had been in the first place. I've never had a worst experience in a store with supposedly good...
