Over The Tap — Restaurant in National City

I’ve been here twice now, so I think a review is in order. I have to say, I live in East County and stopped by as I was in the area. I find myself now coming up with reasons to be in the area! It goes without saying that the weather on the outside patio is nice as it’s not far from the coast. It is also well-located within plenty of great places to eat. Great “industrial” type furnishings that go with the early National City theme, big screen TVs and great music. Getting to the important part, they have a drink menu with at least 15-20 craft beer choices along with such standouts as Saki and Kombucha. And, check this out; they have a deal with a local restaurant for Sushi! The craft beer menu is very diversified, so surely you’ll find something you like. What I like personally is they have a few craft beer choices from a brewery in Baja. I understand Over the Tap is only one of two places in San Diego County where these Baja brews are available. I had a local Doctors visit and decided to stop by and have a beer. It’s definitely a place to hang and chillout and meet locals. The service was good the beer was extremely cold and delicious. I had the Coronado Orange Avenue wit. They have plenty of seating and beer choices. I highly recommend this location if you want a friendly atmosphere and great beer 🍺. Definitely coming here...

Found this bar on the way to get some food and decided to stay and watch the football game. Both the bartender Jason and the owner were extremely nice and attentive. Since they don’t serve food you can bring in your own, the bar itself was clean and had a great atmosphere! They had a large variety of IPA’s and overall great selection.
