Just bought a 2021 Subaru Forester Limited on October 6th from Kearny Mesa Subaru with only 10,400 miles on it. The car was pulling to the left on the test drive and they agreed to fix the problem as part of the sale. It went horribly. Long story short, I brought the car to Dalton the day after Kearny returned it for a second opinion because it still pulling to the left, and they discovered the alignment was still off. Specifically, the Camber needed adjustment. They fixed it for free, and then took me on a test drive to make sure it was good. They also Lyfted me to and from the appt so I didn't have to wait onsite for hours like I did at Kearny.
Fabio in finance also helped me get the 10 year/100,000 mile Subaru Gold Plus Warranty that I requested from Kearny at purchase but was sold a Fidelity warranty instead. The service rep, VICTOR, wants to charge my wife extra because he said our car had over 6000 miles since we had the oil changed. REALLY!!! He nickled and dimed us.. Then my wife noticed that the battery top surface needs cleaning. The service rep added $39.99 plus tax. AGAIN, REALLY!! What a RIPOFF!!! Then she asked if they can check the tire area because my wife hears a grinding noise when she is turning the steering when pulling out of off side road parking or out of the garage. The service repbsaid it will cost her another $109 to check that, CHI CHING!!! To which my wife replied, DONT EVEN LOOK AT MY TIRES when you do the oil change and clean the battery!! She was afraid they will tack another $50 for accidentally glancing at the tires (Sarcasm!!!). Read moreAs usual I received excellent synergy service from Catherine!! Scheduled my appointment via phone with a nice lady and my wait time when I arrived was less than 5 min. Service was a 60k check and took an extra day. Cathrine key m up date through the service period and had the vehicle ready on time. Unfortunately I got a defective serpentine belt that broke on the way home. So I texted Catherine immediately and she had me return the car. When I got there, she and a mechanic met me and checked I out the car and found the broken belt. Catherine set me up with a loaner car in like 5-10 min and off I went. The next day Catherine kept me updated all day and coordinated a convenient time for me to pick up the car — zero cost!! Catherine is the Best! Love working...
