Usually a good purchasing experience but not this time I have shopped here for 30 plus years. Today I was looking for bunk beds and seen an adhly umbrella and stand on clearance very good deal so was wanting to purchase I had seen it a few days prior but their card machine was down so returned a couple days later to pay for it. Westco ran my card for the amount of purchase and the sales girl told the manager the computer made a strange transaction so they played with computer I asked if it had been paid for and manager couldn't tell me for sure so I went to my truck logged on to my banking and it showed the transaction pending as was all my transactions for the day until they update at midnight. Showed the manager the transaction on my banking and he would not let me have my umbrella I had paid for it ? He played with the card machine until it showed a payment a refund and a payment I have an open account with them yet I could not take my umbrella if I had wrote a check I would have been home with my umbrella and he wouldn't of been paid but that's ok? Till my check clears but not when his machine don't spit out a receipt? I didn't get my umbrella didn't buy a bunk bed called my bank and told them cancel the transaction or dispute it whichever works . I will NEVER do business with people at westco they do not understand business how to treat people or how an ach or check or an account works or how to compromise to keep a customer I can think of several ways this could of been handled to keep both parties happy.A good store manager would of also. I WILL NOT SHOP...

We had been looking for bar stools to match our rustic farmhouse theme online, at flea markets and in retail stores for a few months now. We had done business back in Kansas with Westco but considered it mostly a charge type store, which is not what we wanted to do. On a whim we dropped into Westco in Neosho to take a look at what they had and honestly didn't figure that we would find anything since I had already looked online. We were met by JoAnn Wellmeier (hope I spelled that right!) and asked if they had any bar stools. She said that they had a limited selection and took us back to the dining section of the store. Which is bigger than it looks by the way. Just what we were looking for... rustic heavy wood/metal chairs just the right height for our new bar. Only they were part of a larger table, four chair and bench set. But guess what? Not only were we able to purchase just the three we needed but they were also on sale! Bonus!!! They were originally approximately $120 each and we were able to get solid made Ashley Signature Design quality for $79 each! The best part was "no high pressure sales", polite and pleasant service from Ms. Wellmeier. We learned not to make assumptions about individual stores or what is featured online because you actually be surprised to find exactly what you need locally and at a great price. I wish we would have gone there...

Run, not walk, away from Westco in Neosho. My wife and I dealt with a sales lady named JoAnn. We went and looked at some new bedroom furniture for our kids. The first time JoAnn was nice and super friendly. When we found the same furniture somewhere else at a better price, we asked if Westco would price match their competitor. JoAnn went from super friendly to nasty and rude. She snapped at us that they would not, right in front of the manager Randy. It seems like she is running the place and not him. We wanted to shop local, but it's hard to do when the sales people are rude and hateful. We ended up getting the bedroom furniture somewhere else at a better price, so...
