Honestly, I’ve never been to a buffet that I could say “almost everything was bad” until here. And I’m not picky, so I will genuinely eat almost anything without complaints.
Everything was a bit cooler than it should’ve been, and everything had a mushy quality to it. I should have to chew chicken, but I didn’t. Any fried food was soggy, any meat was alarmingly soft, almost everything as the salad bar was a bit dried out or wilted. The noodles and rice options all tasted the same, and by that I mean none of them tasted like anything at all. The best thing was probably the green beans, which is mostly what I wound up eating, but even those were strangely tough. The fried sugary biscuits are always something I look forward to at these buffets, so I was excited when I got one, but disappointed when I ate it. When I say it was raw, I need it to be understood just how raw it was. Like I said, I don’t complain and I’ll eat anything. I’ve bitten into plenty of these that could’ve used another minute of cooking and were softer than usual in the middle, but I still ate them. But these were so raw that I nearly gagged while chewing and had to spit it out. When I showed my husband how raw it was, I peeled off the outside fried part, and was able to play with the inside like playdoh. My husband thought maybe I just got unlucky, so he went and grabbed 2 more and sure enough, both of those were the same situation.
Not to mention, the place isn’t cheap. If I’m paying this much for a buffet, I at least hope that I’m getting washed veggies at the salad bar, instead of watching one of the workers cut open a bag from Walmart and dump it straight into the salad spot. We thought that surely, if this place was remaining open when oriental house is just down the road, it must be...
Read moreI was not impressed with this buffet. It was not worth the amount of money spent for 2 buffet dinners. Personally I hardly ever go to buffets any more (even pre-COVD). I was headed to the other buffet in town with a friend, but they were too crowded so settled on this one. The food was adequate, the service was ok, but the price was much! The booth seating was very uncomfortable. The option to order from a menu was not offered. I guess they assume everyone wants to eat from the buffet. The server did not offer anything but a drink & the ticket which I paid at the register. The two adults at the register were talking and I was not asked if the meal was good or anything and I was barely thanked. A child was left unattended at the buffet and dropped a plate that shattered & went everywhere. People came running from the kitchen but did not assist in clean up. Very odd I thought. I enjoyed some of the food but there is a sign that says "Don't Waste Food". Like what?? I don't plan to waste any food but if I am correct if you don't eat what's on your plate, you aren't offered a box to go! Fairly disappointed here. Loved the soft...
Read moreI used to love coming here. It was my pick out of the 3 in neosho. But this place has gone down hill. Food is always cold. Tonight my kids not even my 3 year old, would eat the mac&cheese. Not only did it taste like rotten milk it smelled like it too! Chicken was dry. The sesame chicken sauce was like eating snot it was so slimy. A lot of the food had a taste like poision. An off nasty taste. Sweet tea was watered down. Soda was flat. Dishes, oh my lawd! DIRTY! The first 4 plates I grabbed had old food on it! NASTY! I handed it to a waitress and told her but she left them sitting there. Went up to grab bananas and oranges and the same dirty plates were still sitting there. Sadly I'll never eat here again. Oh and before I forget to add was handed a straw that was sticky couldn't get the paper off it. Then my 10 year old and I watched one of the waitresses cleaning off a table and stick a straw back in her pocket after she handed it out to a customer. It makes me wonder what they do with dishes silverwear and food.... never again will I be coming... no wonder they failed their...
