"Wow" sums up our experience at Margaret's perfectly. I'm a single Dad with zero prom dress shopping experience. We live on the Vineyard and spent an afternoon off island to shop for a prom dress. My daughter found Margaret's website and we showed up having no idea what to expect. From the time we walked in the door and Margaret's husband greeted us I couldn't believe how amazing everyone was. They were supportive, friendly, patient beyond imagination, and made us feel like old friends. It put me at ease, both figuratively (I was totally out of my element) and literally (comfy chairs for those not trying on gowns). My daughter loved the entire experience and couldn't stop talking about how fantastic everyone/everything was. Sitting there watching my daughter try on dress after dress, it hit me what a huge deal a prom is for her and it's not just the prom, it's the whole "finding the right dress" process. It was a pretty great dad-daughter bonding day and provided an experience she'll never forget. Margaret, her husband, and the staff were nothing short of incredible. Next year for her senior prom, I know where we'll be going...Thanks again...

As a non-traditional bride, I bought my wedding dress from Margaret's. A gorgeous full-length blue chiffon skirt, with a train and a beaded, sparkly, champagne/nude top. The sales assistant (Emily, I believe), was so lovely and helped me try on several dresses, with thoughtful suggestions to suit my requested style. Once my dress was chosen I had my alterations completed within two sessions. Quick, easy and professional, with gorgeous results. What a beautiful store! My Mom and I came looking for a mother of the bride dress. They were busy but very accommodating to give us a stylist even though we did not have an appointment. Our stylist was fantastic and super patient because we were picky with what we wanted. Not once did we feel like we were bothering them or trying on too many dresses.

Would also love to note that the owner and her husband were extremely welcoming and kind as well. He even cleared off our car because a snow storm had begun while we were shopping.
