This is hard for me to write but I still think it needs to be said. Apparently there was a new “cancelation policy” put in place. My appointments are booked out for an entire year because I work with two different stylist and LOVE THEM BOTH. When I check out every time they tell me I have to put down a deposit to hold my blowout, but my stylist doesn’t require that of me. So today when she said I had to put it down I explained to her I don’t have to pay them per my stylist. Next thing I know the “Manager” named Vanessa came up asking what my problem was, which is a very rude way to begin a conversation with a PAYING customer. She then proceeds to tell me the policy was put in place last week. But there’s no policy to look over or read. They didn’t send out an email notification to their clients. They didn’t post the policy to their social media. So when I asked for a copy she was put out because she had to go print one out. After waiting almost 10 minutes I finally leave because she never came back. About 15 minutes later ALL my appointments for the YEAR are cancelled. When I called back I was told the “manager” canceled all my appointments because I didn’t put a card on file. Well I’m sorry it shouldn’t take 10 minutes to print out a single paper. She could have AND SHOULD HAVE called to apologized for taking so long and ask if she could email it, take a picture and text it to me I just wanted to read what “cancellation policy” I was agreeing to. Now all my original appointments have been changed to new dates and times via text. No call to verify those days and times work with my schedule and I’m available. I LOVE The Foundry!!! I think Craig & Korbin have created a great business and I LOVE my stylists!!! But Vanessa was the absolute worst customer service and unprofessional “manager” I’ve dealt with in a long time. The Foundry, their clients, teammates and owners deserve better than how Vanessa...
Read moreMy usual hair stylist was all booked up and I had an interview I had to prepare for that caused me to have to change my initial hair appt. In order for me to be seen prior to the interview I had to change my stylist to whoever had availability at the time. I was comfortable with this because I trusted the salon professionals. I arrived for my appt and the gal was nice and my hair cut was great! However, the hair coloring of the face framing wasn't what I was looking for, and I left not happy with my hair. I stared at my hair more and more throughout the day growing more unhappy. I called the salon to explain to them that my hair was infact two different shades of lighter tone and it was as though I had highlights where I didn't want them. I had to have it fixed before my interview. The manager was able to schedule for me to come back that evening and I had 2 color specialist working on my hair that night to fix it up while still maintaining the integrity of my hair. I understand that mistakes happen and there could've been a number of reasons on why their was the miscommunication of what I was looking for and what I got. All I can speak to though is how the salon handled the accident. They didn't make me feel like it was my fault that it happened, they stayed well until after closing time to ensure I was happy with how it came out, I received a deep conditioning service because of all of the coloring that had occured so my hair would remain healthy, and while being recolored they were extremely attentive! I couldn't recommend this salon more. My usual stylist is wonderful and although I had a mishap, the way it was handled to ensure complete customer satisfaction is everything one could hope for from a service providing industry! So thank you to The Foundry staff for your kindness and willingness to go above and beyond to keep your clients happy and...
Read moreWhen you move the most stressful thing a woman faces is finding a new hair salon and stylist that she can trust. People make suggestions but ultimately she has to make the decision. She can base that upon either what she has been told or if she has done her homework and looked up the salon and read the reviews not only about the salon but about the stylists as well, then she can make an informed decision based on what others have said about them. I was totally impressed that out of the 500 reviews given, there were no less than 500 5 stars! I picked up the phone immediately to make an appointment!
I was not disappointed! Bailey took the time to consult with me, I told her what I wanted, and she told me what we were going to do, explained it in a way that I could understand, gave me a chance to ask questions if I had any, and we got started. Bailey worked her magic on my hair and it looked and felt wonderful! Even though I had been trying to let my hair grow longer and it has been slow progress, Bailey suggested we cut about 2" off, (NO!) it looked better, looked longer and felt thicker! I was very happy with my hair! I have another appointment next week with Bailey and I am looking forward to it.
The salon is also a non-gratuity. They just suggest that you purchase some of the products that they used on your hair (There is no pressure), pre-book your next appointment (Again, no pressure), and go on their website and give a review (Good one if that is your experience ... Which it will be!). Everyone is very nice and helpful, right down to the Receptionists, who make appointments, check you out and even make your drink of choice ... Coffee; Beer; Wine; Mixed Adult Beverage; Water; ... The Foundry Salon! Right here in New Braunfels, Texas! What else can I say? Thank...
