Wings and Rings — Restaurant in New Braunfels

We went in and sat down, our waitress had very long hair that was loose and not pulled back or tied up. She used the same lines to speak to us she had just said to the table in front of us. We ordered 5 lemon pepper and 5 Thai chili wings because we weren't starving. We also ordered salad and it took a good 15 minutes to get it. When the wings came, they were freshly cooked and hot,however when you finally bite into the wing you've been craving and see blood and pink meat, it kind of grosses you out! I spit my wing into a paper towel and finally got the waitress attention. (There were literally 3 tables with people in them, the rest of the place was empty. It was about 3 pm, not their busiest part of the day.) She forgot the celery we ordered and rolled her eyes when I showed her the chicken. She literally asked what we wanted to do. Really? Take it back, recook it, take it off the ticket. She took the plate and had them remake the chicken. I literally got nauseated at the thought of even eating it. MY husbands chicken was red when he bit into it. Called the waitress again and showed it to her explained it was undercooked. Same rolling eyes, didn't she know people can get food poisoning from that? I tried one piece and Wish I hadn't, I got sick last night with diarrhea and sick burp! 🤮🤢TMI I KNOW! She even charged us for the little cup of ranch! Wth? Don't wings come with it when you order? The only good thing was the Atmosphere and the Tv's.

Takeaways!? *raw wings served *robot waitress-literally used the exact same words to us as the table in front of us. *Service was poor at best go early to get parking when there's no one there *clean place *lots of Tv's for viewing games and sports not a thank you for coming from staff seated at entrance literally crickets.....when we left. This was our second time visiting.

Went by this place again and haven't been by in over a year since the last time the waitress was awful it's hard to get someone's attention when you cant find them. So had someone with me that wanted wings wasnt betting on good service but the food has always been pretty decent . Was sat promptly and drink order was taken quickly made an easy order of some lemon for the tea. And that began everything on the down side. She had to call the waiters attention to remind about the the lemon. Brought food and all looked good. Asked for another dip for the wings and again she had to wave him down to get the dip because she had already finished it. At this point our drinks were about a 1/4 way left. And she was looking around for him again so we could finish our food. So she went to the rest room while waiting. He came by and we had finished our onion rings that were good but still had fries left and some wings in the bowl. So the waiter finally comes to the table on his own and starts to say something possible If I want the check and begins to put the dirty onion ring bowl onto my fries that I was eating. I told him no I was still eating which should have been obvious but instead he just took the dirty bowl out of my fries and said sorry. I said you could refill her empty drink, so he asked me if I wanted a refill and I said no , because didnt want to cause him anymore confusion. He dropped off the drink and later came and mumbled something behind my shoulder and she replied back to him. Went to pay the check he had dropped on my table and went to pay at the counter and the girl I handed it to was not capable of ringing it up because it confused her and she ran to find the waiter that we were not being waited on. Really upset that they cant manage to train waiters how to properly do a job. I've had poor waiters that I appreciated due to the effort that they put in and just asking if we need anything but you will never find them at...

We waited over 1 hr and 30 minutes to get our meal. We were a table of 10 and there were 5 other tables of 10 around us that came after us and ate before our food came out. Not to mention multiple booth tables that came after us and had their food before us. Waiter gave us the excuse of another tables order was put in "1 minute before our order" so that was the cause of the delay. Then the excuse of, I'm sorry this is our first busy summer night. Then the waiter attempted to offer us his 2 - $25 gift cards to the restaurant for the long wait time. Then as tickets were given to us, the waiter apologized and blamed the new kitchen staff for the long wait time. The manager was nice about it to us, he did comp our ticket 25% off. We arrived and sat down around 8:45pm. We finished our meal and left the table just past 11:45 pm.

I think the concerning part of all this was that our guy waiter was sweating a lot, his hands were shaking and gripping the pen tight when writing down our order on his note pad, his jaw line was moving side to side through our entire visit when talking to us. This was not the night for him to be on the floor and interacting with customers. He appeared to be the only waiter in there running around with his head cut off. All the other waiters looked composed, were handling their tables with efficiency. Not a good look for our waiter. Wish him luck at making better choices. He was a nice guy, he was never rude to us.

After all this, we will be going back. I'm pretty confident our next visit will be 10 times better than our first visit.

I do want to give the onions rings a 5-Star Rating. Best tasting onion rings I have...
