El Nopalito — Restaurant in New Braunfels

I visited this Nopalito location and ordered the shredded chicken quesadillas a le carte after asking our waitress what all comes on the quesadilla. She said it was just chicken and cheese. The plate comes out with the quesadillas and sides of pico, sour cream, and guacamole. When our waitress came back to our table I politely let her know I was unaware it came with guacamole and that I'm highly allergic and would need a new order. After giving me a dirty look she took the plate back to the kitchen. While I was waiting for my plate I noticed the waitress had her back turned to me talking to the lady at the cash register (who I was told was a manager). The manager had her eyes locked on me while the waitress was venting. She then left the register and brought my plate back. I noticed the plate hadn't been back in the kitchen long enough to cook up a new order so I inspected my quesadillas and noticed that the guacamole had simply been scraped off the plate and the quesadillas were still covered on the corners and underneath. The spot where the guacamole was has been strategically covered with more pico de gallo. Since our waitress wasn't anywhere to be found I politely stopped another waitress and let her know I had told our waitress I was highly allergic to guacamole and all she had done was take it off the plate and tried to hide it. She apologized and went and put in a new order. The manager at the register walked my new order out to me. Our waitress then returned to our table and asked snidely if my order was finally how I liked it. After we were finished eating I poked my head around a column to a totally new waitress and asked her who the manager was. She explained she was a manager as well as the lady at the register. I let her know the situation with the guacamole and she apologized and let me know she would discount my quesadillas on our ticket. As appreciative as a I was for that I only ordered a side quesadilla which amounted to $3. I've worked in the restaurant business and if something like this were to have happened we would've gladly taken care of more of the ticket. I WILL NOT be returning to this location. The fact that I bluntly let her know I was highly allergic to guacamole and she just scraped it off my plate and brought it back out to me is highly upsetting considering I could've spent my night in...

Revised. Two more visits recently and I am convinced that the warm staff are simply over worked. They are ALL very charming and welcoming. It's simply a very beautiful place to dine. I've figured out that the trick is to order in advance and pick up versus going through drive thru. This restaurant earns a SOLID 4.5 stars currently. Work on hiring shine additional staff to beef up the drive thru speed and I think they have a full SOLID five Stars consistently.

Revised. Was a five star. Then a four star. This is the third time in a row. slow drive thru SUPER SUPER slow. Is someone managing this part of the business?? Not sure if I will stop here in the future to be quite honest. It is a waste of previous time EVEN when ordering ahead. How the hell can the business survive like this???! Otherwise, great food.

Originally: Excellentt Bacon and Egg tacos. Our first takeout order in 45 days due to COVID19. Unfortunately, after driving home 10 miles away, my wife and i were disappointed that someone mistakenly left out one taco. Small deal? Maybe. My fiancee and i went to eat breakfast this morning. , it was busy and it took a while for our waitress to come to bring us menus ...... Normally we would have gotten up and left but seeing that you were understaffed or something we noticed our waitress practically running from table to table and besides doing her best to attend to each table as quick as she could ....... She was also bussing her own tables . she kept apologising for not coming sooner , we told her to relax and that we understood.
